Anybody watching this? Both teams over 600 yards each at beginning of 4th quarter. Mahomes for TT has already chucked it over 70 times. Entertaining.

Entertaining but imo these games tend to just be bad football; they start to feel like a pick up game or something.

Kind of a bummer too because I thought Tech was one of ISU's last chances for a win...but maybe OU's just not that good either.

This is like a game of EA sports NCAA football. Just think about what these teams will do to us in our own house. :(

Fun to watch, to be sure, but prepare for a day of "The game that ruined football!" clickbait articles.

Bad defenses against great offenses. We have a chance to stick around for awhile in these games.

Unfortunately we will likely manage to make these defenses look better than they are, much like against Texas.

Both teams ended with 854 yards of offense.
Oklahoma's 545 passing yards looks impressive until you see Tech had 734 yards passing.

This is what makes the rest of the country laugh about what a joke the Big 12 is, and they are right for the most part.

We run up and down the field on each other with no defense, and then go to bowl games and get beat by teams that actually do play defense.

I agree that some of those B1G games are just as bad the other way in that they are basically unwatchable. But make no mistake, what some on here are calling "exciting" football makes us the laughing stock of college football around the country. You may not agree with that, but it's the truth. The Big 12 plays no defense. It's not like the Big 12 has faster athletes out there than the SEC does, so don't give me that.

Big 12 plays defense, they just don't have the d-lineman anymore to generate the disruption that is necessary to stop the RPO hot route offenses we're seeing. We basically are these video games manifested. Mobile qb's with RPO's, quick hitting the line after each play, pre snap reads, with OC adjustments. Exactly what people do on video game football. If your d-line isn't getting it done, you better have some outstanding one on one corners.

These great offensive teams would not score two TD's on Bama.

I enjoyed the OU/TT much more than the Iowa/Wisky game, but if the Big12 wants to be considered for the four team playoff- Big12 coaches need to start coaching defense. Sure there is a ton of speedy players on offenses- but the effort and tackling by both teams last night was hideous. I realize most teams throw quikly, but it still can't hurt to have big physical d-lineman. Even if a lineman can't get to the QB, he can at least create pressure or deflect passes.

This is the same OU offense that looked very average against Houston and Ohio State- so there is a way to defense these spread Big12 offenses. IMO the Pac12 faces a similar issue. If both conferences don't get their act together, one loss Big10, SEC and ACC teams will automatically get the playoff bid over one loss Big12 or Pac12 schools.

IMO the Big12 also needs to require that each school play at least one P5 game in their non-conference schedule. It doesn't create a positive message about the Big12 when one of its undefeated teams (Baylor) and a solid team over the past 3-4 years plays a joke for a non-conference schedule. If they don't want to upgrade their schedule, maybe they shouldn't be a P5 school.
