Oh... and care to guess which defense held Oklahoma State to the fewest points in regulation that they scored all season? Yeah... that would be Iowa State. They gave up 24 points and if you want to know the whole story it was only 17 points as the Cowboys scored on a pick 6. The ISU D allowed 17 offensive points to a team that score 633 points on the season. That is 48.7 points per game. ISU held them 31.7 points below their average. (24.7 if you want to count their pick 6 against our defense).

Yes, and ask those same OSU fans if ISU stopped them, or if their own lack of execution stopped them.

3 times as good as anyone tech has played thus far, and that's saying something because they are not very good

Texas Tech's non-conference schedule is an embarrassment to any team in a BCS conference. It is an absolute joke. Texas Tech and their athletic department should win an award for being the biggest cowards in non-conference scheduling. Pathetic.

Did you even watch that game? OSU was executing just fine. ISU starting blitzing and bringing the heat on Weeden and forced him into bad decision. Holy hell you are dense.

What do you think caused that lack of execution? The Iowa State defense. They had Weeden so rattled the guy was hearing footsteps all night long. They turned it over 5 times and every single one of them was forced by the ISU defense (3 tipped passes for int's and 2 forced fumbles where the ball was ripped out). Justin Blackmon was blanketed by our CB all night (he is now on the Tampa Bay roster in the NFL).

So OSU fans are as dilusional as TTU fans. Got it.

Maybe, just maybe the team on the other side of the ball had something to do with the "lack of execution". Or maybe everyone that plays alabama (IM NOT COMPARING ISU TO ALABAMA) just failed to execute their offense and it wouldnt have mattered who they were playing.

LOL...FSU (even with playing Clemson) has a worse strength of schedule than Tech does...according to Sagarin rankings. So does Duke. So does Indiana.

And, don't think ISU has played some tough schedule. ISU is ranked at 95th. Wow...really tough there, and your marquee game was Iowa. A team that lost to C. Mich, barely beat N. Ill, and N. Iowa.

LOL.

So, when you get TO's, it's because your defense is awesome, and when ISU has a TO, it's because you gave it away? Got it.

Also, blackmon still had 10 for 99 yards. I wouldn't call that being blanketed. Tech will have more WR's than just the one trick pony OSU was last year.

I really can't wait for Saturday, win or lose, at least we won't have to hear from tech fans for another year. God knows they won't come spouting off come basketball season.

Ripping the ball out of running back's hands (like ISU did last year) vs. fumbling in the open field (like ISU did last year)

Making a great play on the ball to intercept it (like ISU did many times last year, especially versus OSU) vs. Hitting a linebacker in the chest (Like ISU did last year)

See a difference?

So, your RB's would just drop the ball in the open field without getting hit? LOL...wow. And, I'm sure Weeden never made a bad read, and threw into double coverage, right?

Our fumbling issues happened mainly with our QBs and they would drop the ball in the open field with minimal contact (or the snap over Steele's head). And if you look at the INTs Weeden threw: 1. Threw under pressure from a blitz and Washington cut under the route 2.Tipped at the line and LJ cutting under the route to pick it off and 3. Jake Knott making an athletic play tipping the ball in the middle of the field (much like this years pick vs. Iowa).

Got any more brain busters or are you done trolling?

How did this turn into a discussion about OSU from last year?

BTW Blackmon>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Any TTU WR
Weeden>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Doege

I find it commical raiderbacker that you call OSU a "one trick pony" when they were cleary the best team in the BXII and arguably still should have gone to the NC game. You are going waaaaaaaaay out on a limb here.

Never said any of Tech's WR's were better than Blackmon. Never said Doege was better than Weeden. As a group this season, Tech's WR's are better than anyone else in the conference. You shut down our guys, and you can shut down anyone else.

Also, when one guy has 121 catches, and the next guy has 71...that's a one trick pony. Tech will probably have 4 guys with 60-70 catches, at least.

Gotta a love hearing that a team that was totally embarrassed on their home field last year is going to come to Ames and turn things completely around and kick the Clones. Not saying it can't happen, but so far, ISU has looked pretty darn solid.

You call it a "one trick pony", I'll call it having the most dominant WR in the country and fully utilizing that weapon.

Blackmon had 30% of their receiving yards, and 28% of the total receptions. He was obviously the biggest weapon but not the only one on the roster by far.

If you look strictly at the numbers alone one could say that J Randal was their biggest weapon, more touches, total yds and TD's.

How does a team improve it's play from one week to the next if it is not challenged? The Cyclones have had two decent opponents that show areas for them to improve on. tt has played good high school teams, how can they even know there own weakness or what to improve?
