What Happens if Kansas can't play any more game this year? (can't see them staying to thier bubble "for FB reasons").
Using MasseyRatings and MRed's Tourney generator--
7-2 Oklahoma
7-2 ISU
7-2 OkSt
6-2 Texas *
5-4 K-State
4-5 West Vir
3-5 TCU *
2-6Tech *
1-8 Baylor
0-6 KU

How does the Big12 Champ Game get decided?
a. Top 3 all went 1-1 against each other
b. Oklahoma beat #4TX....so Sooners get into the Championship?
c. ISU and OSU lost to TX, BUT does the OSU win Vs ISU trump?
or do we go to records against#1Sooners, then ISU is In?
or do we go to records against #5 K-State, etc.

If they all went 1-1 against each other then compare head to heads from top to bottom down the standings, starting with Texas. Once you get to 2 teams remaining it's the head to head result between them to break the tie. So yes in your scenario OU and OSU go to the title game.

Then
OSU 8-1
ISU 7-2
Tx 6-2
Sooners 6-3

Suddenly I'm a Pokes fan.

which is why we really needed OSU to beat Texas two weeks ago. Everyone saying they wanted OSU to have a loss didn't understand the long game

It’s the schools decision to play or not. Here is an article explaining that Kansas will determine after a 14 day quarantine if they can resume. Not the big 12. So yes in fact Kansas can claim to many coronavirus problems to continue football.

An article from July 3rd. Do you pay attention to details at all? Or just pick something that agrees with your preconceptions?

Here you go, the procedures established for the season by the Big XII September 4th.

They have a grand total of five positives right now. Those just happen to have hit their QB room.

thanks for posting that. It proves my point. All you have to do is say you have 7 offensive lineman and two are hurt. What part of this are you not understanding. Also, the school has a right to cancel any game they want

Stop. You’re embarrassing yourself.

Both the school and the conference see the actual testing results.

What you’re trying so hard to suggest would be exactly the same as a team who wanted to play claiming that they had none, and quietly sitting the players out.

Don’t be such a dimwit.

That’s the first thing you say when you know you are going on percent wrong. You tell the other guy to stop. You are 100 percent wrong. If Kansas wanted to fake a few injuries and some coronavirus it was be sooooo simple. You are wrong and you don’t want to admit it and that’s fine but it would be so simple.

I’ll try to put this in terms you can understand. My business law class was a very long time ago—back when it was still a 300 level class—but I think I still have some idea how contracts work.

A. The Big XII has TV contracts with ESPN and Fox. As their part of the bargain they are expected to provide a certain number of football games for the latter pair to televise.

B. I’d actually be shocked if the “cancellation protocols” weren’t worked out in conjunction with both networks. Because the Big XII likes to get paid.

C. Under those provisions, if a member school just decided to say, “OMG, COVID! We can’t play!” without being able to document it, that would be A Bad Thing. As in, failing to provide a contracted service.

D. At which point, Fox and/or ESPN’s legal departments would perk up and start earning their paychecks. I’m certainly no expert on the Big XII’s TV contract, but choosing not to provide contracted services without supporting documentation generally results in...negative repercussions.

At the very least, the Big XII doesn’t get paid for those games. In the current financial climate, that’s bad enough.

Stop being a ninny.

comgrats on your law degree. Nobody said it would not cause problems. However, Kansas has also paid basketball players. That’s causing problems also. Nobody said it would be a good thing. We said Kansas could easily find a way to
Do it. What part of that don’t you understand? What part of
Kansas is willing to
Do illegal and unethical crap don’t you get? Does your law degree say it’s ok for Kansas to pay basketball players? No. Did they? Yep. So saying Kansas could not figure a way to avoid playing using covid as a reason is not far fetched and would actually be quite easy

You know the conference actually sees the test results, right?
Not if Dominion is used.

OK I'll stop now. It is going to be fun to see this blow up in their faces. Oh wrong thread sorry.

From the Kansas message board..

"We’ve played for a decade without QBs so what’s another week here".

I think my favorite Kansas player of all-time was Kale Pick.

He was a quarterback.

Somebody should have sat him down long before he got to college --

"Son, with a name like that, there's no way you're a quarterback."
