I don't think anyone is complaining about the quality of their production (it's operated by ESPN, after all) rather the lack of perceived exposure.

On your TV, how about? It's available from most carriers. You might have to loosen the purse strings and spend $8 on a sports package.
I have DircecTV but don't have LHN on my package level. I will not pay anything to reward ESPN or UT for this so I will probably be using my Cyclones.TV membership to listen to John and Eric call the game.

Or get a free trail of PSVue and actually watch the game for free.

Actually I am having difficulty finding a PSVue package that lists LHN in my area.

I can get the SEC Network, though.

Ah really? I guess I wasn't aware you had to be in certain areas... maybe I should recheck.

I thought I read somewhere at the beginning of the season that direct dropped lhn? We will be in Maui for the invitational... Feel like we're gonna be jumping thru major hoops trying to find a way to watch. Hoping Ps vue?

Let me know if you find it. I am curious.

What it looks like to me is you can select your main package and then the sports package is an ad-on and LHN is included in that package. But I did have to enter my zip code before I started, so that could be the case.

We could have a game deciding who goes to the conference championship on the LHN. Great exposure for the conference there.

This is the part that pisses me off. We of the fan base can probably find someplace to watch but the casual college football fans across the country will miss it in it's entirety. Our last two games were entertaining for general college football fans and they were both prime time on premiere networks that attracted tons of views. Outside of Texas there will probably be like 20,000 viewers.

That was the hope of ESPN and Texas 7yrs ago when they launched was to have a marquee game to drive distribution discussions. But instead Texas has been pretty irrelevant and ended up with the worst non-con FB game on there and even when they were able to add a conference game only KU and ISU would bite on the additional payday.

The on-field performance of Texas was as big of a reason as their ego for the reason it was a spectacular failure. But hey they got $15mil/yr guaranteed with expectations of a cut of (now non-existent) future profits as well...

Your or anybody else know how it works to add it in the middle of the month of a subscription? Can you pay for part of a month or at least get it for a whole 30 days?

Yeah, that's a good question. I need to try to figure that out as well. I assume you can add the sports package at any time but you will be on the hook for a full 30 days.

Sorry, didn't mean to come across like that! Just meant that if I was back home in ames I'd feel a lot more confident in the ease of finding a good place to watch including sound. I had thought lhn was dropped on dtv outside of Texas so figured it was going to be a major pain.

Can't find the link but I seem to remember that Cyclones.tv will carry the replay 24 hours after the live broadcast instead to the usual delay for games broadcast on ESPN. At least you will know if it is worth watching by then.

No apology necessary. You are going to get to see the Cyclones play in paradise. Good for you. You should be shouting it off the rooftops.

I have DirecTV but no LHN. I would have to get a special sport pack above my current package to get it. And my package isn't a bare bones deal either.

Same thing with our Mpls gamewatch bars and one is a true sports bar. I think one is going to upgrade for November so they can get it for us. I get why they don't have it, no demand for it at all here except every few years from Cyclone fans. Dishes aren't even an option for me at home unless I cut down my tree and neighbors tree and I like trees. Plus I am afraid of chainsaws.
