Geez. $450 mil. And for the Aggies. What a waste. Kinda like kicking Mack Brown while he is down. Wonder if the new Baylor tarp will be two-sided for them to borrow. How many mason jars can you get for $450 mil? Buy some new yell leader uniforms. Home of the 12th man (their state legislator).

To put that in perspective, Reliant Stadium, home to the Houston Texans, cost $352 mil ($455 mil in today's dollars).

How long before Texas ups theirs? Besides I'm not surprised it's costing them that much. A significant amount has to be going into making that place sanitary, up to code, and structurally sound

I would imagine anytime. (waiting on funds) And with A&M now renovating their's and making it the largest stadium in Texas, it might light a fire under some Texas Booster's ***.
I know they had plans to renovate their south endzone at some point, bringing their total capacity to over 120,000.

Yeah, I heard similar. Texas already has had plans to expand, they are just waiting for the right time.

I saw on Bleacher Report that the plan is to demolish the entire west stadium; the third deck on that side and the press box may be only about 15 years old. They'll get most of the seats with the expanded south end-zone.

Plus an upgrade to the scoreboard at the General Dog Cemetery ain't cheap

I'm not even joking, they have a scoreboard set up at the place where they bury deceased mascots so they can see the score of the game

Why does Kyle Field need to be renovated?
Because Texas A&M deserves the finest collegiate facilities and the goal is to build the greatest venue in the history of college football. Millions of people see Texas A&M University through football Saturdays in the fall and this facility will make a statement that the Aggies do not settle, we commit to excellence in everything we do. A redeveloped Kyle Field will amplify and honor our past and our traditions while expanding the intimidation factor.

Nobody is as full of themselves as Texas A&Mason Jar U.

Funny how TAM can't even keep the focus in this thread without conversations starting about Texas.

I hear part of the $450 million is going to go to a statue of their first ever black player they had 20 years ago.
