2008-09 Clone Preseason

Shall we hope the Clones play Memphis in a couple of years in the preseason? Settle this discussion opn the court? Then we could schedule St Joe's for Tasheed. Then go play Michigan for Fernald. Find Westbrook and Stinnett teams to play and that about finishes up the preseason except for the mandatory tournaments and in-state games. Anyone else for settling this player debate on the bball court?.

iowast8... I agree that your post count shouldn't discredit the value of a post... and I didn't delete the post... however had I been the first to see the post, I prolly would have modified it too... even if it were someone with 2000 posts. The moderators are working on a standard... to ensure as little modification as possible of posts so in the future... I think maybe the post would have only modified the name (*** it out and put the real name in paranthasese or something to that extent) as well as add at the bottom that the post was modified and why. You are correct, Jeremy does not like moderation, and will never moderate due to an opinion disagreement. He only wants the site to be a respectable and suitable site for all viewers to feel comfortable reading and posting here.

Edit: changed "your post" to "the post" as iowast8 wasn't the poster of the quote.

No i say that that kind of editing is reasonable. I believe that any respectable online community should abide by the law of the Big 12 conference and not allow any racial, sexual, religious or sexual orientaition comments be allowed. That post was in more than poor taste, and should have been deleted, as should at least the part where you refer to him as that again. BTW, i chanted along with the crowd as they yelled "no means no" etc at pierce, that is acceptable,he did it, twice. However when you start calling a guy names...lets say that stiggers doesnt work out as a recruit, what might that lead to by some members of the board, and what kind of representation is that for the school. Let us not forget that this is not just "our" board. we represent the U and by making comments like that, you make people around the country have a certain view(which isn't positive) of the people of ames.

I hope none of you got the wrong idea about that post. I did not write it. I did not switch Taggart's name in the post. I only commented on the deletion of the post. I don't even know who wrote the original post to begin with.

I would like to apologize for the post, I was unaware that it would cause that sort of reaction. I realize that Homan was no role model, but he left it all out on the court when it counted and I respect him for it. As you can see I really don't like Taggert and the reason for it is because it appears to me that he feels he is too good for ISU even though in reality he has not proven anything.

I was under the impression that this site was directed more towards the kind of commentary that would be expressed between buddies talking sports since it is an independent site. I am sorry if you all were offended by the derogatory term for a homosexual.

Anyways, I just completed my freshmen year at ISU and I now feel it is a part of me, and it angers me when anyone talks poorly upon the university in general. But I guess I have no class as a sports fan

Also, discomb, are you Wayne Morgan? Again, sorry if I somehow tarnished this site because I enjoy it thoroughly.

I am so wm, it is crazy, on another front, I just know that this site goes out to the wlorld and i hate to see the cardnial and gold affiliated with anything other than acceptable social behavior. Using that kind of speech is damaging to our reputation as a fan base and a univ. and that is why it should have been deleted. Gad you apologized and hope it wasn't tounge in cheek regardless of who I am or what I believe.

Athletic Shane Williams of Memphis just declared for the draft today. This means Taggs will be more important to the Memphis Machine when he can play.
