.

It kind of feels like someone sat Jeff down and said “quit with all the nonsense and be the host you started out as when hosting the show”. He got way way off course for to many years.

Another reason survivor is better than big brother is Jeff as host. Julie is absolutely brutal and now that her hubby isn't cbs head honcho she should get sent packing.

While we’re at it. Can they remodel the big brother house? Like guy it and rebuild it so it’s totally different.

Leave it to my 4th grader to randomly bring up something during a promo ad for Survivor this weekend. She pointed out that now that both Kellie and J have been voted out the Amulet that Austin has is now an immunity idol which is a detail I forgot about. Ironic since he didn't want it in the first place and was bitter about being denied a chance for food at the time. Puts him in a pretty good spot at the moment and I'm not sure if anyone other than maybe Drew knows he has it?

Interesting dynamic at the moment as currently stands 4 original Belo and 4 original Reba with Emily still playing as the swing vote. Although all is not well with the original Belo as they don't like Bruce and Jake is a bit on the outs right now too and Austin and Drew have been pretty tight. To me right now Austin, Drew, Katurah, and Emily seem to be playing the most strategy lately. Bruce is kind of in his own world, Julie acts like she wants to be strategic but usually just goes with the safest vote, and Kendra is a bit of a wild card at times too.

Doesn't he have two idols now? The Amulet and whatever the advantage was (Beware maybe?) where he had to sacrifice his vote to further its power. He gave up his vote when Kaleb hit his Shot in the Dark and later pointed out that nobody seemed to notice a vote was missing in the excitement.

He does, forgot about that one too so he is sitting pretty with 2 idols with 9 left in the game. Wondering how long until people realize keeping Emily around is a bad idea. I could not stand her at the start then she saved face and seems to be in a good place right now but that also is going to help build her resume the longer she stays in the game too. Right now anyone that wants to win I'd want Bruce and Julie or maybe Kendra at final 3 with me because I don't think any of them would have the votes to win.

Found this on Google, this was before last episode and minus Kellie being gone now who they had 4th best odds to win: https://www.goldderby.com/article/2023/survivor-45-power-rankings-final-10/

Austin
Drew
Emily
Katurah
Julie
Dee
Jake
Kendra
Bruce

I'm in agreement that the top 4 are the biggest threats to win at this point.

I would really like to see Drew and Austin stick together to the end a la JT and Fischback. But in today's Survivor I just don't see that happening. They're both going to realize their best chance to win is the cut the other one. I just wish we would see some real loyalty and may the best gamer win.

The non-reba people are mathematically clueless in this game. Now it is 4-3, and reba can just curb stomp them one by one.

Oh, and Bruce is a dipwit for going home with that idol in his pocket.

Although the preview indicated some reba on reba action next week. I really think there is a path for Emily to get to the end and I'm here for it. I've never done an 180 on someone playing this game like her. Beginning I couldn't stand her now she's my favorite.

Can't believe Bruce feel for that. He's been target #1 for awhile so shouldn't trust anyone at this point and do what what you have to stay in the game.

Feels like Emily is getting the winner cut like Yam Yam did last season. I still don't like her much but I like her more than I did at the start when she was just trash talking day 1. Austin to me is the biggest threat make it to the end with 2 idols and does decent in challenges. Jake is your classic bring to the end with you goat that no one will vote to win. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Everyone watching when Bruce didn't play his idol:

This seems to happen every year about this time where the minority group just loses track of the bigger picture. The non-rebas knew the rebas were going to split the vote between Jake and Bruce. The non-rebas could have picked off anyone they wanted to. Emily, Jake and Katurah voting off Bruce is just stupid because he has no chance of winning.

I think it's going to be Austin Emily and Jake in the final 3 at this point. Austin is not going home with 2 idols after watching Bruce go home with his. Jake is the guy that has no chance of winning and will vote for anyone to stay in the game. Emily seems to be getting the winners edit lately so I'd be surprised if she is not there at final 3 as she's played both sides well and been on the right side of votes.

I would be good with that final 3. Emily has come a long way since day one.

Is Jake a good player or just extremely lucky at this point? I’m not sure to be honest
I was thinking that too. I kind of see some of Phillip "the specialist" in him. Phillip was abrasive, annoying and seemed oblivious to the game going on around him. He was targeted as the back up vote a lot. However he was good with it. At the reunion he claimed he tried to be disliked so he would be taken to the end (which ultimately worked). Now that I'm thinking about it maybe Bruce was playing that role.

There is a good reason to vote out almost everyone at this point. It will be interesting to see what the decisions are going forward.

Julie - You can't take someone named mama to the end
Dee - Really good in challenges and has a big voice with others
Drew - Seems to be tight with the right people
Austin - Good at challenges and has immunity idols
Emily - Just made a huge move

Exactly. 45 seasons of an all girl alliance not working, "Oh I have an idea, let's start an all girl alliance". Yet, none of them ever say that won't work. They just run to the first guy they trust and let them know what the deal is.
It did work once.
Hell, the last four women convinced Eric to give up his immunity necklace. Think it was the season that either Amanda or Parvati won.

Edit: Dammit. This is what happens when you stumble on a thread two weeks after the post. Cydtracked already covered this one.
