***holes like CloneCone10 will just continue to do what they have been doing. If you are really angry about it, posting on here won't do anything. You need to contact someone in the AD about it.

A couple friends and myself bought the $99 corner season tickets. Use the south door that never has a line and use our isu ids and sit in the student section cuz its more fun there. The iowa game we got there roughly an hour and half early and got about the middle of the bottom folding chair seats. it ****** off all my friends that waited 10 hours and sat in the balcony. but i think there more ****** cuz we're the only college students that figured this trick out!
You are a giant ******. Congrats.

I don't see what he did to be that wrong. He beat the system. Good for him.
You serious?

He didn't do anything wrong if students didn't get turned away. However, he sat in seats that he didn't pay for and this caused students that paid for the seats he sat in, get turned away at the door. What he did was worse than cutting the student section line, he actually prevented additional people from getting into the game by stealing seats from students.

If you can't see what he did wrong, then you have no common sense. It's not about beating the system, it's about cheating the system.

In the future tickets should not be oversold to the degree they are now.

Honestly overselling by this much was a shortsighted solution to a problem that was due to go away as success reappeared and you phased out the students who had been their during the mcdermott debacle.

Also i hate the idea of a 'loyalty' system too. I dont think you should have to attend other games just to be able to gain admittance using the ticket you paid for. Imagine how well that would go over in the high level donor areas.

Agree on both points. I suspect that they will not oversell so much in the future. And while I like loyalty, I would like to ssee football fans who mostly like football and BB fans who mostly like BB to be rewarded for the loyalty shown by being willing to do anything to get great seats.

It seems that there are lots of solutions. For instance, they could use a wristband system. Or stage people at Scheman away from Hilton. Or assign seats earlier in the week. Or the CAC could honor its most radical fans and save the front row for them (we already know who the most fanatical fans are).

Anyone who thinks that it's no big deal needs to reevaluate their thinking. Doing what he and his buddies did only hurts Hilton Magic. Instead of 14,356 fans in the building, now there's only 14,353. If 100 students pull that ****, that's 100 fewer screaming fans in the building. Don't be a *******, sit in the seat you bought.

Do they determine how many students are let in by looking at the student section, or do they determine it by a count of those admitted at the door? If its the latter then you wouldnt be keeping students out of the building at least... would just be a couple more along the concourse.

Except there wouldn't be season tickets. They would all be sold on an individual game-by-game basis.

I think I remember you. You sat three rows behind me. you were probably grumpy at the game too because you were up all night standing in line.

I know what were doing isn't the most ethical thing in the world but we are all seniors who have stood in lines our fair share. we found a way to cheat/beat the system and took advantage. I have a hard time believing if you guys found a way to avoid the line for ten plus hrs you wouldn't.

I cant say i really like that idea either.

Why not?

Die-hard students get first shot (based on their loyalty points), followed by the rest of the student population, and then anything left over can be sold to the general public. Seems like the easiest way to get the maximum number of tickets sold -- and actually used.
