I think I speak for most here, the OP could go and I wouldn't cry one bit.
No doubt this is a huge game for Iowa State, but to those that actually think this is the biggest game in school history.. c'mon. Be logical. In the last two years we've beaten three top-10 teams (two top-5), and we've had two seasons in a row with must win games that had implications on a berth in the conference title game.
Also notice the wording of the claim, ONE OF THE BIGGEST events... It doesn't mean that it is THE BIGGEST. Game Day in Ames for FOOTBALL does constitute a really BIG event!

You're going to cherry pick at least provide the info. They're referring to the whole day as the event with CGD, the football game is only 1 element of the event.
If CGD went back to Iowa Sh*tty, UofI would be calling it a big event as well, because it is.
