Ok, as a life-long White Sox fan, who grew up in the South Side neighborhood of Mt. Greenwood...I have got to say that Steve Stone, who played for the White Sox and Cubs, is one of the best analysts in the game.

Chris Singleton was INSUFFERABLE. I can't believe ESPN hired him...then again its been downhill since Harold Reynolds left...Tino Martinez, Orestes Destrada, EY, the list goes on. Thank god for Kruky.

Lastly...U.S. Cellular has been electric ever since '05. They've done so much to improve that park. It also has THE best food in the majors...hands down. The statues of Comiskey, Fisk, Pierce and Minoso are such a great tribute to the history of the sox. So don't tell me it has no atmosphere.

There are a lot of Cubs fans in the world (still have no idea why), but there are very few baseball fans among them. It's the exact opposite for the Sox. Sox fans are knowledgeable and passionate. Cubs fans are there for the scenery and the booze...

Had to do it...

I actually liked Singleton more than Farmer. He's the one that annoyed the hell out of me.

Oh there are tons of these Cubs funnies out there, but no Sox ones? Perhaps because Cubs fans are mostly employed.

From Lee Elia, Chicago Cubs, Manager, in April, 1983:

"They're really, really behind you around here...my f***in' ***. What the f*** am I supposed to do, go out there and let my f***in' players get destroyed every day and be quiet about it? For the f***in' nickel-dime people who turn up? The motherf***ers don't even work. That's why they're out at the f***in' game. They oughta go out and get a f***in' job and find out what it's like to go out and earn a f***in' living. Eighty-five percent of the f***in' world is working. The other fifteen percent come out here."

If Cubs fans are employed, how come they can go to so many day games?

-- Winnin ugly...you beat me to the punch. GREAT GREAT QUOTE...here is a super link for you guys in case you want to hear ole LEE at his best.

YTMND - Lee Elia Tirade

Because unlike Sox fans we don't work day shift at the Rock Quary, or Mid Days at Arby's. Most of us have real careers that allow for some flexibility.

I can respect a picture of Ozzie kissing his son after winning the World Series over this picture of Lou Pinella any day...
