State of Iowa rejected vanity license plates

OK...this could be fun. The Register has a link to the database of all the rejected personalized license plates people have requested and been denied by the IA DOT. Haven't looked long, but here is a couple examples:

For most of them it is hard to know what, if any , meaning was behind them.

I made it through a couple pages. Can you not start with a number or something? A lot of those denials don’t make any sense.

Hummmmm....they also have link to approved ones. I typed in "CY" and there are 40 pages worth. Odd thing is mine doesn't appear on the list. Maybe this doesn't include college plates (which wouldn't make sense) but can't think of any other reason it would show up here.

Mine starts with the 2, so it is allowed.

I think the list just starts out listing those beginning with numbers. Eventually I assume it is alphabetized.

I feel like anything that promotes speeding wouldn’t be allowed.

That guy must work close to my workplace because I see his vehicle all the time. After seeing his truck I am sure he has no idea how most people read that.
