If your running Chrome or Firefox just run an ad blocker it helps immensely.

Site is still running slow. Was ok before I went to work, was decent when I got home. now it is almost unbearable.

I'm having the same issues guys. We're working on it and hope to have everything solved by the end of the day. This isn't a security thing. Not sure exactly what it is but the guys are on it. Thanks a bunch.

Signed in at 7:23pm and it took 10 seconds after signing in.

At 5:30pm it took about 45 seconds to load after signing in.

It's better but very slow compared to yahoo. espn and news sites.

Had the same problem over at HN until today. Not sure what the problem was, but they made some tweaks and the site loads faster than ever now. Also, for as long as this site is running slow: just refresh the page, and it should load right away.

Had the same problem over at HN until today. Not sure what the problem was, but they made some tweaks and the site loads faster than ever now. Also, for as long as this site is running slow: just refresh the page, and it should load right away.

This was also working for me. The first attempt at loading a page hangs on one last item (which happens to be the list of threads or posts), but refreshing the page usually solves the problem (sometimes two refreshes are required). This seems to happen more in the afternoons for me than any other time.

In case it helps the debug process, I'm running openSUSE 11.3 linux and using Opera 11.11 browser.
