I don't think I've ever had Quick Trip, so I can't pass judgement.

Casey's is the gold standard, but I had a slice of Kum and Go breakfast pizza the other day, and it was very good. It was fresh, and crispy. Different experience than Casey's entirely

The one and only time I've had Kwik Star, it was actively bad. I've never wanted to try it again, because it was so awful. Maybe they were just having a bad day. I don't know. But it's going to be a long time before I give them a second chance.

Kwik Star and Caseys are above the others, I would accept arguments for either being the best. My only thing with Kwik Star is half the time I stop in for a slice they are all out, I typically don't see that issue with Casey's as often.

I don't know about the other chains, but Casey's depends a lot on the people cooking in the back. Our little town's Casey's is awesome. The pizza and breakfast burritos in the hopper are way better then what I've gotten in other stores. I would vote caseys, but I'm spoiled with ours.

I think this is true for a lot of chains.

I get Jersey Mikes frequently in my neighborhood but I had it at an airport last month and it was disgusting. They had sliced the meat and cheese ahead of time, and cooled it so it formed together into one solid chunk that would slip out of the bread.

The Chipotle near me always has undercooked crunchy rice and never happens at any other location.

I'm with you. Kwik Trip/Star pizza is not good at all. There's one on seemingly ever corner here vs Casey's and somehow I always think it'll be better this time. Nothing compares to Casey's.

Casey’s pizza has fallen off a cliff for me… too many times the pizza I get from there is not done, poorly made or when we pick it up, it is late (I mean they haven’t even started making it until we get there) and they have poor customer service. I’ve stopped getting pizza from there. Can’t speak for the single slices.

Not exactly sure.
I liked Caseys 2.50 breakfast burritos. Now they are like 6 bucks and are basically a fuel meal in their own.

I'm not sure if they still make them, but the Filling Station/Burgie's in Ames used to have a Southwest breakfast burrito, that was one of the best "gas station" foods I've ever had. Eggs, sausage, cheese, hash browns, peppers, onions, and "southwest" sauce in a tortilla. My wife and I used to split one on the way to work, every so often. It's probably been 3-4 years since I've had one, though.

The breakfast burrito in theory seems perfectly designed to withstand gas station heat lamp environs. The fully exposed egg on the pizza just doesn't seem like it can do as well.

Casey's breakfast pizza is #1 as long as it's made right. Agree some stores find a way to mess it up but for the most part it's easily the best. Hy-Vee fast and fresh is better than any of those others listed IMO. Big slices and lots of meat topping.

Used to be a local gas station in Adel that made awesome breakfast pizza. We knew the owners and one of the options they would make would be a spicier version that was delicious.

Casey’s breakfast pizza is the best, but their crust is average to bad. It is usually way too doughy and if they could just get a little crispier it would be an A+ all the way around.

Kwik Star has long been my favorite gas station but their pizza sucks. Maybe it has gotten better but I try it once a year or so and the last time it still sucked. Only time I would eat it more often was on dollar slice Wed. because any pizza slice is good enough when it's a buck. I'd give Casey's the win but K&G was decent.
