Just gonna leave this here for the bad man coming to Ames, IA. Glad he's a Cyclone!
There is some serious “want to” in that kid.

This class is already 3-4 depending on if you think OSU is better. tOSU & NC St. are 1 & 2 by a fairly wide margin. For those that following wrestling more then I, how does this class stack up nationally? It seems solid.
Go Cyclones
Emilio Ysaguirre is class of 2022. His top 5 schools are Iowa State, Lehigh, Stanford, Cornell, & ASU

IsWillie has him projected at 149 & ranked #30 on the Big Board
Isn’t the coaching staff recruiting him for 133?Willie has him projected at 149 & ranked #30 on the Big Board
I’d say it’s definitely their best class even without Ysaguirre. Getting him would make it very formidable and just the kind of class that we need. Probably the only thing that would rival it, and it’s not really a class, is when Dresser first got here. He brought in Degen and was able to convince most of the guys from KJ’s tenure to stick around, Gomez in particular.
I’m trying hard to keep expectations in line for Swiderski, but it gets harder and harder the more I watch him. He looks to have it all. Pace, conditioning, technique, speed/athleticism, mentality.
Hard to say those other guys would have same or worse results here. Opportunity, wrestling and strength coaching, injuries, confidence, teammates, support, girls.. a lot of variables play into results. They all had great potential.Allar (Minnesota), Verkleeren (Penn St) and Ethan Smith (Ohio St) all decommitted after Jackson left, but Smith seems to be the only meaningful loss.
