Big Z wins 10-3. After the opening round I have 9 wins with 2 MDs for ISU for a total of 11 points? does that sound correct or am I figuring all wrong? :)

Can't argue too much with a 10-1 record today, and advancing 9 in the championship round, which is at least tied for the most.

Iowa won 7 of their opening 9 matches. Plus they had 2 pins and 3 MDs. This gives them a total of 14 points after the opening session.

So does anybody actually know how to score this? If bonus points are 2, 1.5, 1 and 1 for advancement it should be UI, 14, Minn, 11.5, ISU, 11 and I'm not sure about OSU or C. Michigan. But on the radio they gave Iowa 19, C. Michigan 18??, and ISU 16.

I have been looking through several message boards and see both of these results given as team score.

ISU just needs to keep winning...I know that sounds obvious, but unless they start scoring some bonus points, they just need to advance and advance. If you get to the semis, the worst you can do is 6th.

This next round will be crucial. Some of the unseeded guys will hit seeded guys in this next round. If ISU advances 7 or 8 through to tomorrow on the championship side, they have a real shot at.

Central Michigan was a contender in this thing all year.

Minnesota lost at heavyweight, so they take just 6 on the championship bracket into tonight.
