Is their show a news show or a talk show?
If it is a news show, then they shouldn't give their commentary on everything.
If it is a talk show, then they shouldn't be trying to break news because they have no journalistic integrity to hold them accountable.

Which is it that they have?

Dear God, it's just a radio show. Why do people get so bent? They are reading this board and laughing their arses off.

It is "entertainment" with a sports theme. Throw in some obviously contrived and ridiculous opinions with occasional "breaking news" (made up if necessary) and that is what they call entertainment. When you discover that you have M&M on the radio, it is kind of like accidentally stumbling upon "The View" while flipping through channels on television It creates a frantic changing of the channel to avoid overexposure (anything over 30 seconds).

I would ask the original poster if they have ever listened to sports radio before.

I agree with that. It's like taking everything Mancow, Bob and Tom, or Howard Stern has to say as gospel. It's there for entertainment, and as pissed as they make me sometimes, I'm entertained.

I listen for the entertainment value, and I have to admit they're very entertaining. Much better than Cotlar and Company or Jon Miller. For sports news, I go to ESPN or CNNSI.

But I will say they were a little over the top yesterday saying ISU is a disaster and how it can't even get looks from mid-major coaches. Get a clue guys.

Yes. Sports Talk radio. Quite a bit, and none of them claim to break news or protect sources. That is for news reporters. There is a difference
I'm saying listeners need to realize that. A player's dad got pretty pissed yesterday because of a bunch of people believing M&M.

You can't control what the idiots of the world beleive. We don't teach critical thinking in schools, that is what the player's dad should be pissed about. Not that a couple of people whose job it is to get people talking are saying on the radio.

I don't want to have to post my Marty post AGAIN in this thread.

I'm not sure how to respond to this other than to say -- grow up! It is flippin' sport's talk radio. Most realize it is not the gospel and are able to recognize that.
