Probably makes sense. I'm sure he'll be happy to finally live somewhere for more than a year (at the most)

Not sure I get why more teams aren't interested. I'd love to see him in Minnesota.

Anyways, he needs to get involved with the program. Get that man in the Coaching ranks!

He was one of the contributing factors in a young me converting from hawkeye to becoming a lifetime Cyclone fan.

It was a great run and career Seneca! Was a privilege watching you play the game we all love. Come back to Ames!

Wallace is arguably the best player in ISU history. I think he deserves to have more of a role here.

Keith Simms actually had a playing role in the NFL and selected to the Pro Bowl 3 times. That's an easy (recent) player that would be arguably better than Wallace.

Matt Blair is probably the most succsessful ISU player in regards to NFL career. But really during his college days, it was hard to find a player more popular than Wallace.

Sage, just from the little bits I've read, seems like he'd be better coach material. Seneca has never struck me as a guy that could help a younger player get better. And he somewhat proved as much on the Browns when he refused to help mentor McCoy.
Are you serious? He was fighting for that job.

From everything I heard around that time, he wasn't going to be starting and was pretty much penciled in as the backup.

At any rate, I'd love for Seneca to come back in any degree.

How does any discussion of best ISU players ever make it past the first post without a Troy Davis nod? The dude ran for 2,000 yards in back to back seasons (earning consensus all-American honors both times), and finished a close second in the Heisman race while playing for a team that went 2-9.

NFL success isn't relevant to who was the best player in school history, IMO. I prefer to look at what a player did while he was in college. And nobody even comes close to Davis in that regard.
