The football team could put together a team that could beat the current BB team or at least give them a run for their money.

AA - good high school player
SJ - was also recruited to play BB
Hollis - I believe was a 3 star guard
Reeves - All-district PG
Darks - Three year letter winner in BB
Jennert - 4 year letter winner in BB
Bykowski - 6'7" 3 year letter winner team captin
Spears - 6'5" 3 year letter winner state title
Drew davis - 6'8" 2 year letter winner

against
DG, SC, Oliver, Bubu, Dorr, Dendy, JVB, Boozer

Since when did Sedrick Johnson become one of our better football players? the wr has vastly been undeserved of his four star rating from rivals...HE is not that good...imo lenz has done more in 1 year than sedrick johnson has done in his 2+ yrs

Sed Johnson is like 6'3" or maybe 6'4" at best. That means that DG is just as tall or taller than Sed.

I don't think Sed is going to be out jumping 6'8" guys all over the Big 12 that have 40" vertical leaps as well.

That's one thing I don't think people understand is just how tall basketball players really are. Your very tallest football players would probably have to play guard for ISU MBB.

I know a group of post-grads (only one of which played D-1 basketball), four of which are 40 or older, and they beat a group of FB players that included:

Arnaud, Davis, Lamaak, Tiller, Lenz, Spears, Bykowski, Mahoney and Sandvig.

From reffing their intramural games, and playing with them at the Rec, as well as playing with the basketball players, the basketball team would KILL the football players in hoops.

And I assume you're talking about the Old Guys? And if it's the Old Guys, it could be 2 that played D1 with Petey and Crawf

Why not just use the open bb scholarships on football players and let walk-ons play. Not much difference between 0 and 4 conference wins in bb.

The football program is on the rise. There is no need to send our football players to the hardwood and risk the chance of them getting hurt. Afterall, ISU is a football school.
