Interesting. I doubt that debt goes down in the next couple years, will it? What are the facilities we are paying for right now?

23 million football facility
5 million scoreboard
??? Improvements to JTS concourses
??? track facility

I doubt they're on 30 year loans most home owners are used to. So maybe they threw a couple of the smaller improvements on a shorter loan, pay cash here and there for upgrades, and then apply any windfalls (new tv deal) to the existing loans so maybe they can zero our a couple of debt payments and free up some cash for the SEZ. I realize I'm completely speculating like everyone else though I guess.

I don't have his e-mail, but can someone get invited to their next budget meeting and get us the exact numbers so we can at least speculated more accurately. Maybe get us up to guesstimating...

Would be cool to see the ball get rolling on the SEZ project again here in the next 2-3 years, and whether or not it happens that soon or not I'm Sure JP will deliver as usual. Do you think a SEZ project will include other improvements to the stadium as well? I know originally phase II of the Jack Trice renovations included the SEZ along with other improvements.

I wonder how many of the 38K are Jr. Cyclone Club memberships. That is really a steal at $49 per kid with all football & noncon bball games included (plus many other events).

Also can someone post the pictures of the SEZ renderings?

Oh, time to bowl in the south endzone!!

Wrong.... the time to bowl in the south endzone was in 1974 while they were building the stadium.... but like the cheapscapes that WE ARE.... we didnt do it and now its back to the drawing boards........

We have better leadership today. And they recognize the need. And the trends of season ticket sales will continue the demand. I cannot wait to buy an upper deck south end zone seat staring at the big screen with my family!

I found this interesting, Birmingham newspaper sent out requests for all FBS colleges for season ticket sales in 2010, 68 replied. Our season ticket sale number would put us around 19th on this list but there are several heavy hitters missing such as Nebraska, Notre Dame, USC; whom I would imagine sell more than 38,000 tickets. Obviously these numbers are a few years off and schools like WVU and Oklahoma State are probably seeing increased sales due to recent success.

So... We have the demand out there... Soon we will have the cash... And in the near future a shiny new object to admire.

Tickets are going to be tough to come by again this year. If you add in mini-packs and visitor tickets combined with 38,000+ season tickets...that only leaves a few thousand available for single game tickets.

That facility master plan was created two years before the coming of our lord and savior Paul Rhoads. He identified a larger need for the football only facility, which become the new phase 2 of JTS project, pushing back the old phase two which is now priority 1 for ISU:smile:

Damn glad I jumped on the season ticket train this year. Unless this season is a bomb, it will be a lot harder to get your foot in the door next year.

Yeah, because that is guaranteeing at least 42,000 per game. I remember games not to long ago when we had less than that at a few select games.

In the 2000 Insight.com Bowl year, the final home game (when ISU was already 7-3!) only drew 36,725.

Wow. How times change.

I remember going with my uncle when I was a kid to the Mizzou game in '04 where if we won we would go to the Championship game. We ended up losing in overtime. I had no idea what that meant or what was going on I just thought it was awesome to be at the game.

Looking it up there were 40,626 for that game. And we already had 6 wins.
