Nolting and Coltan may end up being starters this year. Really disappointed in both these matches. Not strong weight for SDSU. Based on what we saw I'm not sure either Harrington or Hall would have won.

Don't like the idea of moving PD up. He's been getting down to 84 and I would think wrestling up increases the risk of injury. Giving up 20 pounds and the fact he likes to go upper body. No doubt PDs a better wrestler by why risk it? Give him matches at his weight.

I agree- clearly, this is not a breakthrough year as health and conditioning (again) will be issues until March. Put Downey at the weight he worked to get to at 184 (it is only fair to him IMO) and take your beating at 197 with anyone who can get there. Redshirt Colbray and the other kids and don't let the habit of losing creep into their psyche. We have way, way better talent than this- I am so very disappointed.

I'm not very knowledgeable about wrestling, but I've heard contrary rumblings regarding KJ's program over the years and wonder which is correct.

Some say we're always in horrible shape like we are lazy and others say that our guys are actually worked WAY too hard and are fatigued and worn out by extreme workouts.

Does anyone know which is accurate? KJ has been recruiting very well, but the results just never show up year after year. It seems like our guys aren't developing, aren't in shape, too worn out, etc, etc. There's just no reason why we should be getting destroyed by SDSU. No excuse.

The pinnacle? We got embarrassed by SDSU the other day so there's not really a whole of enthusiasm right now. Fully expect things to improve as the season goes on but feeling a little deflated at the time.

- Major for Larson: came out aggressive
- Decision for Meeks: couldn't get any bonus points, and should have
- Briceno loses: led into the 3rd. Gassed?
- Nardo lost via MD (ugh)

Looks like Dane made it to 165, which is amazing in itself. Hope he has energy to perform

He was fighting but Ream was funky and able to counter for a bunch of scores.
