Great internet device, crappy phone. I sold my galaxy 4g for an htc evo. I forgot how crappy the phone was on Samsung devices.

I've had a Galaxy SII (T-Mobile) for about 9 months now, and no problems with the telephony.
'Course, I don't live in texas (TG).

Would have preferred the quad-core that Europe got in their GSIII. I'm going to hold out for an HTC quad core.

Yea, it would be the first phone in the US.

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. HTC One X (EVO 4G LTE): In-depth comparison | Digital Trends

This compares it against the One X (also dual core)

Many sites say that the dual core keeps up with the quad core and actually is better to have dual core due to battery life. After all, I get the phone for data and 4G LTE is better to have.

Yea, I'm guessing the end of the year there will be a quad-core 4G LTE compatible phone.

I am a U.S. Cellular customer and wanted to buy the phone but my contract is not up until December. The only way I could get the phone at this time was to pay $615. Needless to say I did not buy it.

What data are you concerned with Google having? Is there something in your internet history that you'd prefer to hide?
Nope. Go educate yourself.

Oh I did. I just didn't see anything that caused me concern. Care to share an example of what kind of data that is collected that you are so paranoid about? Or are you just the tin hat wearing type?

I'd much rather have the HTC One-X on Verizon, but if one of these can be in my hands within the month for $200, I'm not sure if it's worth waiting any longer. Verizon can't even seem to get the Incredible 4G out the door. It's clear that Samsung has more pull in the current market than HTC. By a drastic margin.
