From Dan Mccarney: " Bobby has fought another incredible fight with as much courage as anyone I have ever known. He is in hospice care surrounded by his amazing family."

Last night around 9pm. No word that he passed per Facebook

He's battled cancer at least two times.

True. I remember after a Texas A&M game in college station sitting on the team bus and watching him take his shots (This was after the first time).

Bob was a great coach and an even greater person, I am honored to have gotten to know him.

There are occasionally people that get dicharged from hospice because they do better than expected and end up not as terminal as expected. You were probably just saying that lightly but I didn't want misinformation about hospice out there.

Agree, my wifes grandma was put in hospice 3 years ago. She is still very much alive.

He was a very good football coach. When he left both the McCArney and Rhoads staff, it was definitely noticeable and hurt the team.

And the Criner fiasco that followed after his first departure.
