It's like my child hood is being crushed right now. First Mean Gene and Now Super Dave. If you didn't know Super Dave's stuff. He basically was a fake stuntman whose stunts never worked. Really actually funny stuff. He later went on to be on Curb Your Enthusiasm. I actually don't even know his real name. Something Einstein I think.

It wasn't until a couple years ago that I found out that he and Albert Brooks are brothers. Two incredibly funny guys. Especially loved him as Larry Middleman, professional surrogate, on Arrested Development. RIP.

That's the first I've ever heard of that. But I guess it makes sense; you can kind of hear it in the voice similarities.

Tough day for '80s and '90s nostalgia.

This one sucks. Good early childhood memories. Wasn't he Matt Damon's dad in Oceans 13?

Also didn't know mean gene died, that's sad

Einstein was hilarious. Sad to see him go. There a couple good episodes with him and Seinfeld in Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

That's when I found out their name was Einstein.

Way up there
Loved Super Dave as a kid. Fuji and Mike Walden were great too. Honestly, it was a show more suited for the 2000's than the late 80's. I'm surprised it didn't do better in syndication. I always remember Mike Walden talking about Super Dave's safety harnesses being made from "only genuine Saskatchewan Sealskin bindings". Einstein was great on Curb, a perfect fit.

He was so good at slapstick and deadpan comedy.

I could get behind SNL doing a tribute skit of Super Dave's funeral.

I will have to put up a Marty Funkhouser memorial on the street, just like the one he put up for him mother, Ida Funkhouser when she was struck by a car in her wheelchair. A large pile of flowers, and then Larry David grabs some to give to his wife as a make-up offering.... well it was a great episode. RIP Marty!
