RIP Steve Little

I'm sad to report that I heard Steve Little passed away on Wednesday. He played in the early 80's on the defensive line and I think he made all conference one year. I don't have any details but I did know that he was coaching at a small college in the Chicago area.

There have been too many Cyclones that I have watched play that have passed. Steve was a defensive tackle. He lettered in 1981, 82, 83 and 84. He was from Peoria, Illinois. RIP Steve.

Steve and some of the other guys were in several of my classes when I was a Freshman/Soph. I became friends with them, they nicknamed me "Little Sis." Steve got a big kick out of picking me up with one arm and carting me around Campustown. The funniest thing is that if I was at the Cave (remember those days?) with friends and a guy approached to buy us drinks or whatever, he and half the rest of the Defense would saunter over to ask: "Sissy, is this guy bothering you? If he does, you just let us know...." That always led to some interesting reactions...LOL!

I cannot believe he is gone!
