What are the details? How much money would it take to get rid of him? I have seen numerous posts calling for his job, but no details on what it would cost to do so?

FYI. I have been an advocate for keeping him, however this can't continue. I am dreading seeing the attendance at the last 2 home games. If Kansas can afford to be paying Mangino, Gill, and Weis contracts we surely can afford Rhoads. We can't be satisfied we this product. No other team in a Power 5 Conference would tolerate this and neither should we. If we don't demand better, we won't get better. Rhoads is a quality person but has missed his window for success here.

I hope Pollard realizes that if Rhoads is the coach next year, a lot of people won't be renewing tickets.

10K less in season tickets would be probably $2.5 million to $2.75 million, plus another roughly 3/4 million in concession sales I would guess. Throw in the retention incentives and you're at the buyout or close to it.

This says 1 mil. Is that right?

I think that's for him to buyout of his contract.

That same clause in Fred's contract that put everyone in panic mode - something like 1.5 mil to go to another college, but only 500K to a NBA gig.

Gotta be honest I am really considering not renewing my 4 season tickets. I've been getting them for 13 years and it's expensive and frustrating. Maybe I'll save myself some money and just buy a couple games next year - I hate this...

I'm in the same boat. Cancelled my SEZ ticket request last week and were keeping my other 4, considering dropping all of them. I don't want to do it but this is difficult to watch

Rodes (yes I spelled it wrong) should feel so bad about what he is done that he should leave and agree that we don't need to buy him out. He should just flat out quit. He kind of already has, I mean like quit and leave.

By my math - presuming that link above is correct (appears to be), Rhoad's contract buyout is 16 million

The only way I got to that guaranteed contract amount is by assuming the retention bonuses were also guaranteed - which seems likely too.

Edit: Just saw Dryburn's article and #'s. That seems much more palatable.

The buyout is 5.25 million but with a net cost of 4.95 million because of the 300 thousand retention payment that would be due in February.

yeah - it would've been nice if they included the buyout clause.
