Would it be possible to put in a feature that works sort of like Rep on the old platform?
A lot of time I will want to comment on a post that is made that is more directly for the person who made it, however would just clutter up the thread and be pointless for anyone else viewing.
I know you could just start a private conversation with them, but that seems timely when you want to make a quick reference or give them a shout out/props.
