With 18 Commits and a breakdown based on position as follows:
2016
QB - Noland
RB - Nwangwu
WR -
TE - Wonnum, Lensing, Fernandez
OL - Green, Udeogu, Mueller
ATH - White

DL - Johnson, Uwazurike
LB - Sutton
DB - Daniels, Payne, Azunna, Grant, Johnson, Webster

What direction and who would you like - hearing without defections that we should have 4-5 schoollies left. Here's my belated xmas recruiting list:

Qb - none
RB - Anderson
WR - Ballard or Ducker (maybe take a flier on him as a slot)
TE - None
OL - Castillo, Foster, Farniok, Moore, Gavin
Ath - Hinson, Rigby, Becker

DL - Hewitt, Cochran, Zimmer, Saltes, Nelson
LB - Pine, Bundage,
DB - None

If we could pull - Rigby, Becker, Hewitt, Pine, Foster or Farniok our class would be a very very good first class....

Thoughts - missing anyone?

Who's gonna be next commit?

Farniok isn't coming here. No chance. Unfortunately. Heinrich however....think we have a shot. We are at 18 which means there are already guys leaving. If we sign 23-25 kids (which we will) it means 7-9 kids leaving.

I still think we bring in a JUCO QB to backup Lanning, or maybe even push him for a starting job, because right now who would be the backup if Lanning went down? DeLira? Noland?

Also, I think Lensing is going to be a LB, not TE. Wonnum is still a question mark too I believe? Has anyone heard anything more on him?

I would love to get Pine at LB. Also, wouldn't mind another DL commit too. Otherwise, looking at that list of commits already, I like this class quite a bit. Amazing what this staff has gotten accomplished in a short time.

Why even try? Campbell won't be successful...
:jimlad:

Pine, a juco QB and Foster would be the top of my list

For some reason I have a weird feeling that Campbell thinks Noland will be ready to backup Lanning. He's getting to campus in January so he'll have spring ball before his true freshman season, which doesn't happen a lot. Also, DLC could move back to quarterback too.

Any inside info on Heinrich or just a hunch? Saw that he followed our coaches on Twitter but hadn't heard anything else. He is definitely at the top of my list with Pine and Foster.

I think Wonnum is gone, even though I don't remember seeing anything official. Only Rivals still has him at a commit.

Wonnum has decommitted from what I have heard. So that means 17 commits so far. I think you are correct on the total number that we will take. There will be close to 10 kids leaving in all likelihood for one reason or another. Graduation, injuries, mid-career guy or two, plus some freshmen as well. Probably a mixture of all those reasons.

DLC will not move back to QB, at least not at ISU. IMO, Campbell might roll the dice with Lanning and Redshirt Noland unless Lanning goes down to injury. He might use DeLira in a backup role. We do have Starcevich as well in an emergency. Possible we might still take a Juco QB but it would have to be a complete surprise QB at this point.

Need to up our star and offer games. Hopefully we can start gaining traction in the 4 star market and getting kids with offers from TTU, Texas, Michigan, Iowa, Oklahoma state, etc. Getting kids from Toledo is good, but we need to get kids with other decent P5 offers.

Anyone after these 3 is icing on the cake & I really like extra icing

This is what I thought as well after listening to Campbell's interview with CW on KXNO.

Seems like they want one more OL, so Foster/Heinrich/Castillo. I'd go for one of those plus Pine and then Toledo commit Jalen Martin at WR. I'd be pretty happy with that class although I wouldn't mind another body or two on the DL.

Toledo red shirted the backup who would of played if their number one went down. Precident for such a move!

Woonrum is decommited the sites don't seem to update all the time. I say we replace him with Chase Allen. Also we land a juco QB no question and I have heard similar things that Heinrich might be interested, but that is a wait and see. Mine would be LB Pine, OL Foster, Ath Marquis Smith, and WR Jalen Martin, DL Jalen Cochran, and Juco QB Justice Hansen. Those are mine and I do like the sounds of maybe landing the Louisville decommit QB

Just to let you know look at just 2017-2018 classes he is offering the needed amount of 4⭐️ guys so I will have faith that we will land a few of them. A thing that secures that is winning games and bowl appearances. So wait and see
