RECRUITING: Thayer Munford visiting this weekend

Four-star o-lineman Thayer Munford put on his Twitter that he'll visit Ames this weekend.



Munford is from Massillon, Ohio and has offers from Alabama, Michigan State, Louisville and quite a few others. He's been one of the top guys on ISU's board for a while.

I'm working on getting ahold of him this afternoon/evening.

He was out but got reinstated with 3 or 4 games left if I remember correctly.

Let's be honest but here. We can't compete with those names in prestige. But we can offer a starting spot day one and an ability to be the cornerstone of the future. Campbell and Iowa state are a family and I want guys who buy into that culture.

He played for LaSalle last year but transferred to Massillon prior to this year.
