Anyone want to see me get lots and lots of rainbow emojis on a post?

Disclaimer, I am not seeing well now.

That said, I watched Domynikas’ highlights and looked at his Instagram posts.

Then, on a hunch—please note that I have watched little college basketball this year, and that only ISU—I pulled up some Cooper Flagg highlights.

I don’t read well right now, but can recognize length, explosion and athleticism. All I’ll say is…interesting.

Given that TJ clearly scored big on Killyan Toure, I think that Pleta will be okay.
Which Hok troll marked this dumb?

In German, yes. 'ei' has an "eye" sound and an 'e' at the end of the word will sound like an "eh"

So hi-suh is how I would write it phonetically. Unlike English, these rules are pretty uniform across the language - only words imported from other languages might not follow those rules.

I speak a little Italian and I love when Olive Garden commercials murder the language. The worst is bruh-sheh-da vs bru-ske-ta.

Our local Iowa pronunciations of Spanish Buena Vista and Madrid are also classic.

When my daughter was little, maybe 6 or 7, she had a friend who thought in the movie Sound of Music that the kids were singing, "So long, farewell, Our feet are saying goodnight."
So now that's all I ever hear. And, that's the extent of my German. :(

We have a couple good ones around here.

Athens = Eh thins
New Berlin = New Burr lin (almost a southern drawl)

To give credit when it's due. We do pronounce Monticello correctly.

I learned oh Christmas tree in German in first grade.
My German was solely courtesy of Hogan’s Heroes.

In which 3/4 of the regular German army characters were actually Austrian Jews who had fled to America.

Currently dating a dual citizenship American/German gal who is liquidly fluent in both—and is polite enough not to get me totally lost.

If you were from eastern Iowa at that time, not only did you have to watch Lawrence Welk, on Sunday mornings you had to listen to the Leo Greco Show on WMT radio. That was straight up cheese.

No Leo Greco but the Church Ladies from Boone KWMT radio, their hearts were in the right place but it was a unique broadcast.
