We are no longer recruiting Wempa and sounds like Bofelli will probably change commit to Iowa after this weekends visit

I really like the pick ups of Watson and Jennert. Mims will take time to find a position, but is a great athlete. Woods is a clone of Brent Curvey. Watson will assume the spot vacated by James Smith at safety, IMHO. He is a good tackler and hitter, didn't really see a lot in pass coverage from him in his video. Good player though. I think Jennert was a steal for this offense!! I envision him being a hybrid TE/WR. Sometimes lining up at TE, but sometimes splitting out wide. He appears to have better speed than Blythe even.

I think this gives us 20/21 scholarship players if Martin comes. We still need one or two DL if we can, a QB, and possibly a LB/S. I would say Raulston is the top target at QB, but two other recently added prospects to Rivals(free info) are Nico Rainieri of Orlando and Tyler Tettleton of Norman, Okla.

To me appears to come down to these guys
Rainieri/Tettleton/Raulston
Matt Murphy
Dearco Nolan
possibly Akeem Spence, not holding breath
possibly Mike Marry, not holding breath
Larvez Mars
Mike Lang
Fabrice Pratt
maybe Rashad Smith if we get Spence

So it look to me that the four scholarships will be split up based on decisions like this
Raineri/Tettelton/Raulston
Nolan/Spence
Marry/Mars
Lang/Pratt

Murphy seems to be a greyshirt possibility and will step in if we don't get someone, as is Rashad Smith if we don't get Marry or Mars, but do get Spence.

I just watched the video of Mims on youtube. Steal!

Made some great runs on offense. Appears to be a good passer but his O Line was terrible, but it was his defense that impressed me. His closing speed was impressive

Tyler Tettleton was the QB on Blankenship's team. His dad is former Major League catcher/utility player Mickey Tettleton. Having said that, I don't think Tyler Tettleton is D-1-A worthy. His best offer is from Ohio and he's short (6-0) for a QB.

Yeah, 6'1" 185 4.5, and moves like that, seems like a great safety candiate to me.....
This kid is a huge steal, seems to always find the ball in his highlights..... A little raw but I am surprised he did not record any other D-1 offers.

I think Tettleton is our backup option in case we don't get Raulston or Rainieri. Saying that, I also watch for the possibility of Tettleton being a preferred walk-on, possibly. COming to play with Blankenship!

Walter Woods has a kind of resembles Curvey to me, seems like quit a steal from his youtube video too. Played linebacker st 270, moves really good though, great feet and vision.

I noticed we literally made a few steals this weekend. Jennert, Rainieri, and Watson were all committed to other schools going into this weekend. Jennert looks like he could help our redzone production a lot. Lets see a 5-11 CB go up and get a ball over him!

I would laso like to see both Marry and Mars come our way. Big time athletes that could help up the speed at LB for us. Watson looks like a good pick up speed wise at Safety. He self reported a 4.2 40! Obviously that is not correct but he must have some pretty good speed (or his coach got a little jumpy stopping the watch :wink: )
If we got both Marry and Mars, that would leave 2 or 3 schollies left. I would then like to see Spence and/or Nolan along with Pratt. It hink that would give us some good pieces to shore up our Swiss Cheese defense from a year ago.

Edit: I believe I miscounted so we would probably not have the schollies left to fit those last 5 guys.
