If he gets buried at Alabama he would get buried here too. We are on equel footing with Alabama for QB. You can even make the argument that our QBs have been better over the last five years. I'd take Rocco over Milroe any day and probably Brock over Tua as well.

We have some really nice QB prospects.

They aren’t on par with top 3 QB’s in the country, let alone the guy who was #2 overall.

I don't know. That's looking through some pretty rose colored glasses.

I looked up the numbers and in the past five years, Alabama has had over 19,500 passing yards, 167 passing touchdowns and 36 interceptions. Over the same period, ISU has 16,200 passing yards, 109 passing touchdowns, and 51 interceptions.

Certainly there's more to the equation than just stats, but I'm not sure many people would argue that Bama isn't the better quarterback program.

The rich get richer. Helps a little that he at least wasn't a Cyclone for awhile then left.

With all of the benefits Alabama has as a program, to only have that little of an advantage over Iowa State is pretty crazy. You can’t tell me that if Rocco had all the time in the world to throw to the fastest receivers, he wouldn’t put up as good or better numbers than a guy like Milroe

It's not really that close though.
On a per season average ISU is at 3240 22 10 while Bama is 3900 33 7

They get more production in the last five years than we have in the last 6.

And the possibility that Rocco could put up better numbers at Bama is even more reason for a prospect to choose them over us. I'm sure Alabama sells hard on the idea that you'll be playing with better talent if you pick them. It only makes sense.

Yes, but that's not just QB play. They've had studs at WR and an incredible O-line during that time span. I would bet money that Brock would have equaled those numbers if he were throwing to Davata Smith, Jerry Jeudy, and co. Alabama would have made the playoff FOR SURE with Rocco. Milroe is okay, but not the same level of a passer.

Ifs and buts. And like I said, making a case that the same qb can get better numbers, and a better draft position, when surrounded by Alabama's talent is not really a strong argument if you claim Iowa State is on "equal footing" with them.

I think you literally just made the Alabama recruiting pitch to Jett.

I'm so disgusted with the college football landscape. Rich get richer. Gimme Gimme Gimme. Just a wild wild west. :puke:
I hope this is sarcasm?

Didn’t scroll thru….any credible number of the difference between the financial offer made at Bama compared to ISU?

Then I wish I could double dumb your post. It’s a 17 year old kid that changed his mind where he wanted to play football. This has been happening since forever.

Get a grip.
LMAO!
Well you can't double dumb you arrogant ****
I'm entitled to my opinion.
You might want to take your own advice and get a grip. Not everyone agrees with your opinion. Deal with it!

Question for you then. When, in your history with college football, have the rich NOT gotten richer?

The striation between the haves and have nots has been a defining attribute of college football for decades. Not a new development in the slightest.

This has always been the way of recruiting, not some new trend. I'm sure Boise State fans were annoyed when we came in and got Purdy. On to the next target.

I'll just say that I assume we are not burning the bridge with Jett.

While we have generally recruited the QB position pretty well, there's still a chance Jett is a Cyclone QB some time in the future. Who knows! Onward and forward.

The coaching staff is still putting together a class they can be proud about with or without Jett.
