But the Omaha experience was a good lesson in don't always shoot for the stars.

If he had it to do over, I bet TJ would have recruited him again. Isn’t a stretch to recruit top local talent.

It's not like he proved a problem while he was here, too.

Every report was he was a good kid and teammate but just so raw as to be unplayable in the Big 12.

I'm no expert but I'm guessing having three top 150 commits helps the staff shoot for the moon on the last spot and also commit resources to other things within the program.

Kind of the opposite of KSU paying a guy who won't be on 2025 draft boards $2 million for one year because they panicked and had no transfers.
You couldn’t find two more opposite cultures within the big 12 than ISU and KSU.
