RECRUITING: Iowa State beats Utah to land JUCO corner Matt Bess

Iowa State earned its latest off-season commitment from Blinn College defensive back Matt Bess Friday, out of the same school that produced both Xavier Hutchinson as well as Cam Newton.

I feel like this is exactly what they needed. Four to play three, a chance to be a depth piece, see some reps and develop, and compete for a starting job a year from now.

This is awesome from what I gather off the pods and depth at corner. Also explains this recruitment and commitment of someone that can play immediately at some capacity over a freshman

Define flagship. By results on the field maybe. By brand no. Oklahoma state probably carries that weight.

The big12 doesn't have a flagship in football. KU in basketball. Baylor has the best recent success in both sports.
