Re: Rashad Vaughn

i think we can all agree Vaughn is more than likely not coming to Ames. Unc and Kentucky seem to have arisen as the front runners. Sucks, but what do you do? We need one more scorer to compete at a shot for the final 4 next season IMO.

Link?
I don't think most people think that. Most people are cautiously optimistic.

Disagree. We still have a great shot at him IMO

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Writers are talking a lot about Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, and not ISU. That does not mean that ISU is not a frontrunner.

ISU and UNLV have been in the lead for a long time and I don't think that has changed.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Vaughn told ESPN he could make his decision in late February or March depending on when he finishes his visits.

Who knows. Unless he eliminates schools there probably isn't anything to see here until he announces. Unnecessary 'bumps' aside, of course.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Feb would be fantastic because he won't really know if guys such as Seldon are going or staying at that point, which seems like it would work in our favor.

If he ends up waiting past early March, then it tells me he's really waiting to see who jumps

Re: Rashad Vaughn

That's a little earlier than he had previously said, right?

Most people thought the earliest he'd commit would be the McDonalds game, which is the first week of April. Him committing earlier than expected would allow Fred to focus on decommits and transfers once the season ends if Vaughn goes elsewhere.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Well...ISU has done all they can here...short of something illegal. We gave Rashad quite the visit with the win over Michigan. He knows how much the fan base loves him...but at the end of the day it's his choice. I'm not losing any sleep in what he chooses. Out of our control. What I can rest easy with is ISU gave a great presentation of their basketball program and that's all you can do at the end of the day.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Not a fan of the quote where he says the main factor in deciding where to go is national championship hopes. When you are considering Kansas, UNC and Kentucky and say that it can only leave a Cyclone fan negative.
