That is some in-depth research. I think he knows more about a 1920's team than most people will know about the NDSU game come Aug 31.

This needs to be donated and memorialized somehow at the football/athletic facilities

Fantastic! Who wants to be part of my Ocean's 11 type team to steal it?

Thanks for the nice thoughts. Currently hard at work on a new Trice story and it should be another fascinating one. Looking at about mid-September for that one to release.

I would like to emphasize again, this is a picture that is so rare--the only example of Jack going about his life that isn't a posed shot in front of the camera. I find myself returning to it over and over.

Thanks again

Great find! Another great example of first class research and telling the story of one of the greatest, yet with so many details unknown, stories in Iowa State history. Kudos!

I found myself showing it to everyone yesterday at work and last night. Even my boss who is a New Year's Day EIU fan.

Thank you! Cyclone fans are lucky to have you putting in this kind of work to uncover historical information on such an important figure to our football program.

Perhaps this is an ignorant question but who is the dude on the right hand side with a different jersey (looks like a butterfly design) and why is it different?

Josh Kagavi has done it again! That guy just never ceases to amaze me.

He has posted a "never before seen" photo of Jack Trice playing in a game at Simpson. The legend of Jack Trice just keeps getting better and better.

I'm taking to @espn collegefootball on twitter to enlist some help on a national level finding a jersey or anything else belonging to Jack Trice.

Care to help by retweeting?

We could turn this story into a national phenomenon. Use #jacktrice on all your tweets!
