Whoa, that is so much bigger than all of mine together! Good job keeping it going. I had a regular cactus from "indoor plants" a few years later than yours that I kept going for probably 25 years. Eventually it rotten toward the bottom and some little wildlife kept eating it when I had it outside in the summer.
My instructor was Bob B-something. And BTW, I have more than a dozen African violets that came from DD and her then-boyfriend (now husband) when they took indoor plants as hort majors. Those plants are a little more temperamental.

My grandpa's hired man kept African violets as a hobby he had some grow lights in the porch of his house, he also had a Venus Flytrap. He was really quite the horticulture guy. Thanks for bringing back some good memories that I hadn't thought of in a long time.

My great grandpa named his first daughter Anna, after losing his first wife he married a woman named Anna, she liked the name so they named one of their daughters (My grandma) Anna. She married a man whose mom was named Anna. He also had a sister named Anna. My dad did not marry a woman named Anna but my mom’s mom was named Anna. It gets difficult at times to keep tract of all of them. I am certain that I am missing one in there and I’m not going to mention my cousins who named their kids that.
My daughter's friend that she visited at ISU last weekend was named Anna.

Her best friend in middle school was named Anna. She goes to ISU too.

The guy I sat next to at the tennis banquet last week has a daughter named Anna. Her brother is going to ISU.

Hmmm, seems like a carpet beetle infestation here. And I don't have ANY carpet, got hardwood, tile and concrete Okay, was moving stuff around in the basement because I got plumbers, electrician etc coming for estimate at 8:00. Moved an old flocati rug piled with some other stuff in corner of laundry room and bunches of egg sack stuff fell out. About the size of rice. Gross.

Rug is outside to see if i can freeze the little *******. Maybe the first time in my life I was it was below zero.

Option 2 is kill it with fire, because CF. ;)

One of my neighbors growing up was a retired farmer. His wife raised African Violets for competition (who would have thought there was such a thing) Their basement was filled with shelf after shelf of African Violets and grow lights.

My furnace won't consistently light the main burners. The pilot will light and then just go off about 3/4 of the time. I have cleaned that sensor and it still just won't always recognize the pilot is lit and release the main gas valve.
And once in a while it will fire up, run for 5 minutes and then shut down even though I can hear that it knows it should be running.
Guess it's time to call someone in. :(

And oddly enough, ALL of these Annas were likely born before Frozen debuted. :D

Had a recent misadventure with our furnace as well. It wouldn't light and the error code flashing was for the pressure switch. Turns out it wasn't a defective or failing pressure switch--it was a bird nest in the exhaust pipe.

hey so LM is going to be a cow. Brought home the costume last night and he kept grabbing it to play with and pointed at the hood going "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm". He can moo but wasn't quite wanting to last night. I told him he's got to get it together by tomorrow because him doing a Mooooo in that costume would be the cutest thing ever.
