Well, that James Bond thread didn't last long. I just added my mocking and sarcastic take and it was gone like a fart in the wind. I assume it must have escalated to something beyond the silly it started with? Did it get moved to Da Cave or just get vaporized? I don't Cave.
Yes it moved to the cave. I was working on my post when they moved it so I think that might be my first actual cave posting. I suppose I have posted in other threads that have moved over there.

Two things -

Neighbor's garage was broken into over the weekend. So that's kinda scary. Another house in our neighborhood as well. We found one of their garage openers in our lawn.

Then talking to parent and getting update on niece........new parent made a comment about being tired..........when they are sleeping at home at night right now with baby still here. They haven't even had to try feeding or diapering yet. I'm like oh boy, this could be quite the shock to the system when baby comes home! I wonder if anyone has told them the baby will poop overnight........multiple times..........
Just curious - how old are new parents?

No thread for Amazon prime day/other competing thingies. We actually have stuff to get this year or watch at least. The phone I had my eye on (the S10) is part of it. Need to look at vacuum and car seat. Something else, oh, laptop type thing. Never did get one before he was born.
Seen any crock pots or Hamilton Beach ones?

At one point we had three dogs, four cats and four teenage boys in our house (this was about one year after we blended our families into one home). It was basically Bedlam.

I don't even want to imagine how that must have been. I'm also not sure if the kids being teenagers is better or worse than toddler to elementary age kids.

You're killing me, cowgirl. Stop it. Something tells me the 3 months between now and arrival are going to go entirely too quickly. We're just hoping wifey starts feeling better once the little guy arrives (aka not nauseous all the time).

Time goes even faster once they arrive :( Though the nights and hours can feel really slow when you're in the thick of it. Coworker was sick both pregnancies and said she felt instantly better after birth so hopefully that's your wife. Feeling sick the whole time would be miserable, that's really rough.

Also remember every child is different. Z slept a lot and really well and then 9 months in or so not as well for awhile. There are always 'phases'. Generally around growth spurts, teething...

Well, when they "argued", it was more damaging to the furniture. I had a mountain of laundry every weekend. And our food budget was astronomical!

side note: before anyone comments about having them do their own laundry, we tried that. It was far worse than me doing it. They either over-filled or under-filled the washer, so they either wasted water/soap or caused the washer to unbalance and jump around the room, and they rarely remember to clear the lint trap on the dryer so I ended up replacing the heat coil.

I am hesitant to buy a cell on the Amazon deals. Seems some are international unlocked phones that come with issues such as wifi calling disabled and no warranty. The number of pissed off customers in the S9 comments was kind of eye opening. No guarantee their fire sale on S10 is any different. I really don't trust Amazon for stuff like this and I buy a LOT of stuff from them. My S7 screen started going to crap after less than a year and Verizon sent me another one in the mail within a couple of days under warranty. Forgot my quick charge plug at a hotel and paid more at Best Buy to get another because it seemed like half of the Samsung chargers on Amazon were pirate crap. Small expensive mass produced products are ripoffs bread and butter.

Full Disclosure: Have an older S7 still and doing some window shopping. Love the camera in this older unit but battery life sucks and it can overheat easy on really hot days when I am biking and running a bike app. Hardy though, dropped it off the roof last year with it landing on my porch deck without destroying it. Not sure newer would be better. And, it's essentially worthless as trade in now.

Wife always has unwashed stuff in the washing machine so we are always confused on what is going on, and we’ve found out it’s best not to ask, so none of us do laundry. (I guess a few times I will when possible because she will wash my two different styles of work clothes together and my professional style stuff gets oil stains at times). Whenever I open the dishwasher or dryer I will check the screens because I’ve had too many repairs to them and had lint traps that were so thick I had to fight them out.

Nope - I'm cautious about separating clothes (particularly his working clothes) from his good clothes and my clothes for the same reason . I'm pretty careful about not leaving stuff in the washer because years ago I had a wool vest (when those were popular) and my ex threw all the laundry in the dryer without pulling out the items (like my vest) that needed to be line-dried. By the time I pulled it out of the dryer, my vest would probably have fit well on a Barbie doll. ;)
