Not exactly sure.
3 people home tonight so we swing by Louies and got some steaks. Tbones didn’t look right so grabbed sirloins. Wife ordered 3. Started the grill and looked at the package. Just shy of 4 lbs. that makes 21 oz steaks. I put one back in the fridge and grilled two. Still had leftovers.

Happy there is football, but I honestly can’t really get excited about these games. Like watching preseasons in the pros.

Hey CG, did you see all the wild horses at the Kentucky Derby? One flipped over prerace and got DQ'd, the winner got spooked in the winner's circle and knocked it's trainer over (Baffert I believe) he got back up but will probably be sore tomorrow.

My favorite, along with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and every Cyclone fan who’s honest, Storm the Court, didn’t do so badly either.

3 inch rains and heavy winds. Don’t really need that now

The dry spell continues in my area, some corn and beans coming out. Talked to a guy from down by Hwy30 lots of those acres affected by the derocho got tilled under.

Under pop culture notes Paris Hilton is now 39, for as hard as she lived for a while, she has aged well. (Source CBS Sun Morning)

I was up around 3:30 and checked radar because there was a sever thunderstorm watch/warning from 9:45 to 3 a.m. Heard nothing and the radar showed it going around us in central Iowa again. I have never seen peonies so wilted and almost horizontal as ours are now. This morning is quite breezy and sunny. Nice in the shade but not bringing moisture, just more drying if that's possible.
My mom told me last week the corn on the farm (Guthrie County) is "gone." No rain for so long.

Took the son out for lunch in Ames yesterday, then hit Reimann gardens. First time I've ever been there, not a good time to go for the first time. Everything was basically dead and the rona had locked down several things.

Now the debate. Open the windows and enjoy the fresh cooler air or try to keep the warm air inside for a little longer... One of those lovely A/C to furnace types of weeks.

I checked the radar and then decided to water plants in the back yard. Thought that might be the magic switch. Came inside later to check radar and see the big blue-green area has decided to move east along the northern side of the Iowa-Minnesota border. Sigh.
