P.S. Always check to see that each one is right side out before trying to insert.

Yeah, that's the only time I ever have problems - that or if somehow my eye got irritated (and then I'm not wearing them for several days).

I've actually always found the mirror distracting when putting my contacts in, and always found it easier to just to "look" them in and just stick them to my eye. Then again, I've never in my life had a stigma about touching any part of my eye.

Yes!! For some reason the outside of a contact lense is coated with hydrochloric acid or something, there is nothing more painful than the burning sensation from an inside out contact!

When I first got contacts you had to use a chemical disinfectant and then drop in a tablet to neutralize the disinfectant. Lord help you if you forgot to neutralize the solution. I did that once. My eye clamped shut and I practically clawed my eye out to try get that out of my eye. I walked into work that day with one eye completely red. A guy I worked with took one look at me and asked if I forgot to neutralize my contacts.

Damn I remember that. That was before disposables. Ouch.

Thanks for all the help.......I think what we were missing was the saline in the contact itself. We put it on his finger, but that made it stick more. I appreciate it!
That's important. I usually put a couple drops. Too much, depending on brand of contact I suppose, makes my contact curl up.

and this is why I just sucked it up and stuck with glasses
Same here. Although if I had needed glasses at a younger age I would have had to go the contact route, because glasses and sports don't mix well.
