When Fred bolted for the NBA and Steve was hired, most of us wondered if he would be able to recruit Big 12 talent. He can. This years team has more talent than we can ask for. He needs to figure out which lineup will get victories. The freshmen are playing well but none should be starting. Get 5 experienced guys out there starting and give them some time to gel.

At the end of the day guys just have to execute. If Babb hits that 3 or Wigginton knocks down those free throws we’re all praising Prohm on halftime adjustments.

So Prohm would the credit for guys making a couple shots in the last couple minutes?

I think a great deal of our issues will be not having Lard. We got to see him be himself during the KU game and he interrupted things big time. Jacobson is doing well but Lard is pure beast. He just messes up any inside game a team wants to try and play.

I think we get him back and we screw with the flow of teams enough to make the other end of the court much more attainable. And if #5 gets his flow going again, these close loses would be damn near ISU blowouts.

The pieces seem to be there, just how long do we have to wait until the puzzle looks like the box? Hope it is soon.

The only complaint i have is i would like to see him call timeouts in key situations to get people settled down and organized. Why save the timeouts all game if you aren't gonna use them? For instance yesterday with 5.2 secs left down 1. We have to get off a better shot than a double clutch halfcourt shot with a defender in our face.

Which terrible play call called for the wide-open missed 3 three times?
In the press conference after the game Prohm said he replaced Conditt with Jacobsen late in the game for offensive reasons. Why didn't he sub Conditt back in when Lindell was shooting his free throw with 16 seconds left? I've watched good coaches sub players in and out for offense and defense late in the game but I don't remember Prohm doing that.

Great Point my friend...even CSP said in his presser that he should have had Geo Conditt in the game to "Protect the Rim"......

Prohm is just fine. Is he the best coach in The Big 12? No. Has he been out coached in the last 2 games? Probably. Would that make any difference if his guys would make open shots or FTs, or the officials weren't completely inept? Not at all.

Clones just have to go on the road and steal one back from the Wildcats.

Prohm should have an earpiece with Fred on the other end calling plays from home.

You guys over emphasize play calling. Most college basketball teams don't run a "play" everytime down the court. They run "motions/actions" with lots of different options to score. Yes they do run some plays but I would estimate that way less than half of a teams offensive positions are running an actual play.

Add to that we pass the ball around the perimeter too much. When we drove and kicked for 3's yesterday we got open looks/good shots (that we normally knock down but didn't).

Sorry this has been a pet peeve of mine.

The problem right now is guys being to passive when they have an open shot or an open drive. If anyone knows where I can watch an online copy of the game I'll screen shot about 10 instances yesterday where we passed up a good open look to take a more challenging shot.

You could tell this is what prohm saw... He even opted to put Lindell at the point late in the game to drive and kick, but our guards didn't always make the best decisions on when to try and finish and when to kick it out.
I thought the worst decision was to put Jacobson in for Conditt late. The thing I will never understand is Prohm's substitutions. It seems like he often pulls the players who are playing well and puts in a non factor instead.
