Karen? My...you aren't wasting any time moving on from the whole Hoiberg family, are you. Frank, Karen, Pressley, and the triplets...they're all dead to you, aren't they?

I assume he meant the mom and not the wife?

At least we officially have the Prohm court advantage :)

Welcome to the Thunder Prohm. The Prohm Zone. Prohm Sweet Prohm.

Everyone will be watching our highlights on Google Prohm, while the unpack their new Garden Prohms from its Styro-Prohm packaging. But hey, when in Prohm.

I'll show myself out.

Oops sorry, wouldn't be the first joke I didn't get.

nope, I failed. I had Karen as a teacher, and in my zeal to post both the PrΩ and the cooking joke (because Carol's cooking kept coming up in recruiting discussions), I typed the familiar, rather than the correct. And I'm an idiot for it.

Ames
a) I have been sleeping 2 hours a night because I am constantly going over coaching search details in my head
b) it was touch and go until this morning
c) about a 100

JESUS ******* ******....

a) I lost no sleep through this whole deal
b) No suicidal thoughts but I had thoughts that I don't like Fred Hoiberg as much as I once did
c) I'm about a 6 right now. Mainly because I feel sorry for TJ ;) Think about that.....

I am not nearly as crazy as you all seem to think that I am. As a female, I am able to do more than one thing at once. Thus I am able to freak out about what was going on with our basketball program on here and then do whatever else I need to do. I do always have opinions about things, that apparently throws some people off.

The sex of a person has no bearing on being a dip ****. You are a dip ****

Sort of agree but we didn't recruit a high school player for those two years.

Fred couldn't commit to HS players because he knew he was likely going to the NBA. That caused us to focus primarily on 1-2 big fish each year. I think that explains why we couldn't land HS players as much as losing TJ.

IIRC, our roster was usually pretty full. We could lose a lot of players next year. Meaning reloading will be important. Even if we had gotten Diallo he was considered to be a one and done. So 2016-17 would still be a challenge.

Can see why TJ would leave too. Must be frustrating to recruit guys only to have Fred undermine your efforts.

Honestly, I am excited to see what we can do without the handicap we have had for a few years. A coach that shakes things up a little bit on the court would hurt either IMO.

No need to knock TJ in the process.

Knock TJ? What I stated is purely factual..... and in no way a knock on TJ.

He's a quality recruiter and good assistant coach, but that's all we know about him. Most of our fans went from panic over TJ apparently being the preplaced HC in waiting, to slowly accepting he was going to be OK, to supporting him and dissing anyone else. That includes the guy that is ACTUALLY our new coach and is a proven and experienced HC. I have no issues with TJ and I hope he stays on, but he was NOT the best candidate and certainly not a better candidate than Prohm.

I think the point is, now that we have our new coach, no need to stomp on his grave.

There was no knock on TJ there at all. He has been a recruiter first, and he has never been a head coach.

It's always been absolutely baffling to me how ISU fans wanted him to get the job. I don't think any other Top 10 team in the nation would have fans rooting for a guy with no experience who just spent the last couple of years as an assistant for a non-NCAA tournament team to take over the program. They'd probably run their AD out of town if that happened.

This is not a dig on T.J. It's more of a dig on the ISU fans who wanted to be complacent and take a guy with no experience. T.J. is a very good assistant and could make a good head coach one day. It's just that ISU's "day" is today.

Looks like Murray State played 2 teams with a pulse last year.

Lost to Xavier by 27 and Valpo by 35.
