2 $250 bet: ISU 19, UofI 26 (basically UofI beats the spread, if around under 8 points or so)

I ML this $250 bet due to A) Neither team has shown much so far, and B) ISU seems to get up more for this game in recent years than Iowa does. Tate will be rusty, and our defense will finally start guarding in the secondary.

Seriously though, it should be a good game with even matchups at most positions. Turnovers and taking advantage of opportunities will decide the winner.

we came out flat in out first two games last year also. Army? Illinois State IAA? Then we pounded Iowa. Mac uses the first two games to practice for the rest of the season(i hope). Defense looked better on saturday (and said they were). I don't think the offense will be flat this next saturday.

27-21 Clones my head is smarter then my heart about sports so I am going with that. Iowa O-line has just looked horrible the last two weeks and ISU will finally blitz some. Tate will start but I don't think he will be able to finish the game. Any strain across the chest is painful and having to twist and turn your body to throw doesn't help at all.

I think it will be close....not making any bets untill I know who starts. If we can pull this one off, my hopes for the season will go up a LOT (wouldn't this be a great year to pull off 2-3 upsets?)
