Title IX is federal law (not NCAA) so leaving the NCAA has no bearing on it.

Thanks, I could not remember. I still wish there was a way to update it. I'm all for promoting sports for women. Very important. But football and mens basketball make the money and deserve to benefit more from it.

Saw this article on ESPN, I don't know which side to pick. What do you guys think. (btw the comments are Iowa State being the pee-on team.) :realmad:

You would have to go back to Div 1A and 1AA. All the non power five conferences would probably slowly drop in to 1AA territory.

If this were to happen you would probably see a 12 or 16 team playoff pretty quick based purely on conference standings. Notre Dame and BYU would have to join a league (cough, cough, Big 12, cough). non bcs bowls would become a huge joke, and the bowls that already are a joke would just get worse.

Might as well drop the bowls all together and have the playoff games at the higher seed's home stadium. National title game could be held in Dayton Ohio? :swoon: Kidding.

Who cares about travel? We're all supposed to watch on our big screens anyway aren't we? I mean, that's what is driving all of this anyway.

He actually should have interest in this story. If it comes to this, FCS teams will lose out on a LOT of big paydays.

JP plan in that case....Schedule out 15 years of the 3 non-con games to the highest bidder, since we're the pee-on team, and plow that money into making a winner.

Slightly :jimlad:

If Kansas has had 10 wins and a BCS bowl win at some point, and ISU hasn't eclipsed 9, then that's deserved. I've watched all these years, and there's been about a 3 week time frame in 2002, and one night in November 2011 where's there's been a hint of relevancy, although I'd say it was more of a surprising factor (someone like Seneca Wallace played where?).
