Let's just show him what happened to the last sit out transfer who came from Virginia!

Definitely want!
So who are we losing after this season? Gilbert & Curtis Jones. I'm not familiar with Heise, Chatfield, Jackson & Jefferson eligibility after this season.

Warely can fill Pierce's scholarship for 24/25 season. We are bringing in 4- Batemon (CG), Moore (PG), Toure (SG) and Mitchell (SF).

As I type, I am asking myself does tracking scholarships really matter anymore with transfer rules & NIL? Agree if a starting caliber player is available and good fit for TJ's system- go after him. Warley sounds like a big PG in mold of Haliburton. It's interesting that Warley was only 1-7 from 3 last year. Crazy stat for a guard in the modern era.

We're losing Gilbert and Jones next year. If we get this guy, would be a nice replacement.

Maybe this kid is like Ryan Dunn. He didn’t shoot any 3s at UVA either but that doesn’t seem to be a problem with the Suns this year.

If he played for Bennett he likely is that
He never played for Bennett, 3 seasons at FSU. Was a transfer this year to VA. Remember how defense sagged off Lipsey his freshman year? Multiply that by 10…. 1-7 all season from three and a poor free throw shooter

Chatfield, Gilbert, and Jones are out of eligibility. Jefferson and Heise for sure have another year left. Unsure on Jackson

He's a 6'7" "Scoring PG" on Torvik with bad shooting numbers and low offensive efficiency but good defensive numbers. If he already chose Virginia once and is strongly considering Iowa State at this time, then I can only imagine he's a guy who can play defense and wants to play defense at a high level.

https://www.barttorvik.com/playerstat.php?year=2024&p=Jalen Warley&t=Florida St.

My interpretation is he'd either be a high-level backup for senior Tamin and an experienced guard to cover the secondary PG role currently handled by a combo guard like Gilbert and sometimes Jones.

OR

Tamin is going to give the NBA a try after three years, which means Warley would likely be his one-year (or "interim" if you like) replacement before the younger guards are ready to take over the spot.

Something like this assuming Tamin and Milan are going pro after this season...

Warley
Indursaitis
Heise
Jefferson
Jackson
---
Batemon
Watson
Rock

Fish and the other incoming freshmen as end of bench development guys.

Would be good to have a defensive specialist at practice for our starters to go up against. But otherwise, I don’t see that working to have a guy like that on the court in the Big12.
