For me its a tie between Mizzou and Kansas, however since I drove the 3 and half hours to the Kansas game Im putting that as #1 for me. I thought I would never feel like the way I did after the Mizzou game in 04 I was wrong!!!

for me its the FSU game. how much confidence do we have after knocking off FSU on national TV? maybe we dont piss the Texas game away that year. Oklahoma was a huge defeat, but they were damn good the year, but we had Texas on the ropes in Austin. Stupid first down call.........

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(clone33 @ 07-21-06 11:39 am) [post=8113]Quoted post[/post]</div><div class='quotemain'> has to be Kansas cause its the most recent. If it werent for that, it'd be Alabama...That kick was good!!! [/b][/quote]

Don't forget Florida State at the end of the game it was a td!

I still have to go with 2004 mizzou , it was like getting your heart ripped out.

You know... reading this poll really brings back some memories for me. I am probably one of the few people here that can claim to have been at EVERY one of these games. Even Oklahoma 2002. That was a beatdown my friends.

Having been in attendance at all of these games I can say with complete confidence that the Mizzou game of 2004 had to be the roughest on me personally. My wife (girlfriend at the time) had already purchased Big 12 championship game tickets, had the weekend all planned out, were so excited...I mean you could have heard a pin drop in Trice after that game. Utter heartbreak.

The most heartbreaking loss that I have ever attended was the Baylor game in 05. I couldn't cheer for any extended amount of time because bad things kept happening.... and well, it was against BAYLOR.

good call on that UCLA game....that is my first memory of the Clones ripping my heart out. I think I was in 6th grade, and was laying in bed listening to it. When that happened I laid in bed motionless for a minute, then screamed and put a hole in my wall. Now my Clones just drive me to drink when they pull that, but that was definitely my first memory of being really really disappointed by an ISU game, albeit a basketball game while we're in a football thread.

Well, if you are going to say UCLA, how about the year before when we had Utah beat, or 2000 against Michigan State, or even 2001 with Hampton. Another not so high profile heartbreaker would be the Wyoming game in 1996? I don't remember the exact year, but I remember the missed FG to tie the game in the first OT, and how long the goal posts were just shaking back and forth after the ball doinked off of it.

I will throw in a few others.

The OT loss to Nebraska...the loss to Texas a few years ago when they had Major Applebutter...the K-State game several years back when we blew them out in the first half, only to have the tables turned in the second half...the home loss to Iowa when Bob Utter (sp?) grounded the ball on what could have been a winning drive that would have snapped the streak before 15...the loss to A&M when we missed 3 or 4 FGs...but despite all those the last two years losses that kept us from the Big 12 title game were the biggest. Personally though, I wanted the win against Nebraska in OT...the loss that would have done the most for the program with a win was the Florida State game on National TV.

KU was a kick in the gut because the team had victory in their hands and let it slip in the most agonizing (and familiar) way. Not only did it suck but it added to the suckiness from the Baylor, Mizzou, and Nebraska games and especially the Mizzou game the year before. Ugh. Plus I was there.
