buy anything from Wal Mart. If you knew how they treat their suppliers. What they really think about the customers, plus how they treat employees you would PUKE. Wal Mart is not a nice corporation.

But they are the only ones that carry 1 item I want. I have to go tomorrow, I am going to go in, get 10 of them, and walk out.

But yeah, I hate walmart too, especially as a target shareholder.

Hate to say it, but until someone can match their prices on some things, I will keep buying stuff. Should I never buy Nike products because their stuff is made with cheap labor?

I just hate them because of how gross and dirty the stores are. Kind of represents the whole corp.

Is Wal-mart 'too big too fail' ? If your please-never campaign works, I want to know if our tax dollars are on the hook for the bailout if Wal-Mart is deemed 'too big too fail'....

If you think Wal-mart stores are dumps, apparently you haven't been in a KMart lately...

Ok... I'll pay more somewhere else for the same damn thing. I have plenty of money to burn:no:

I could care less right now when things are tight.

Here is another one.... All packing plants in the US use illegal workers. Should I stop buying all meat unless I buy from a small town butcher?? No... I save more money buying products from the big companies like Tyson.

I do go the butcher route from time to time when taking an individual animal in. But I can't afford to buy all my needs from them.

I dont understand how Kmart stays alive. Walmart is for cheap things and Target is for kinda cheap things but go there cause you hate Walmart. Just dont see where Kmart fits in.

While I prefer Target, I frequent WalMart, KMart, and all the others.
Agreed. Target is my first choice, but if I need to go to Wally World for something, I'm going to go there.

I am very selective of when I go to Wal Mart...not because of the corporation, but because of some of the really weird people that over take that place at certain hours. It's like a circus.

I have to agree. KMart is becoming obsolete. I go occasionally, but it is dirtier than WalMart.

And if you guys think the central Iowa WalMarts are dirty, you really need to check out some in urban areas...

It's funny - that's actually exactly why I don't buy Nike!

I used to work in a Wal-Mart in high school. That sucked. Now I frequent Target - it pisses me off to see people dragging their six-year-olds around Wal-Mart with no shoes on at 10:30 at night on a school night.

I tried the K-mart in my area once just to mix it up... I'll never set foot in there again. Absolutely no organization to how stuff is thrown on the shelves... the aisles were crowded with stuff and I couldn't get some things I wanted to look at. Saw some floor models but couldn't find them anywhere on the shelf...

grant you the one I went to is probally worse than most but I wasn't impressed with the one in Ames either...

Target seems like an over priced Wal-mart to me - a lot of the same stuff, some of it better, most of it similar to Walmart but slightly more expensive.

Wal-mart's grocery section in not only closer to where I live but also open at better hours (aka all the time) and the food is a lot cheaper... back when I had Hy-Vee I would food shop there but I can't stand any of the food places out here, so I default to Walmart for that  (on a whole I miss Hy-Vee, but thats a side topic)

I buy 1/4 of beef a couple times a year from a farmer friend and get charged $1.65 / lb on all the meat and then pay anothe $.75/lb for processing. Try buying meat from Tyson that can beat that. Not derailing thread, just pointing out what you can get meat for that tastes much, much, much better then any range fed meat bought at grocery store chains.

Know what you mean about Hy-Vee (I know, side issue). When I lived in Phoenix, with their Fry's, Smith's, and Smitty's, I missed Hy-Vee a whole lot...
