Phillip Bates is adamant on ISU:

Looks like Kyle Dooley has ISU at top of his list if you use the priority order system. This guy would be a wonderful addition as he is a bulldozer.

Noah Keller still has ISU in the running.:D

Big Red have two spoken for in Niles Paul and Jared Crick.:p

If ISU picks up one or two more of these six, they could match Nebraska.

Big Red likes fellows from the West Coast is the reason.

Re: Phillip[ Bates is Super Six with Dooley

Just how fast is Phillip Bates?
Under committed recruits, difference of opinion from rivals and scout. Rivals says 4.69 and Scout says 4.50 for the 40. Thinking scout has right number.

They do each have 7 commits.

Under MBB, noticed Wes Eckmeier was not entered in rivals yet.

I hope Phillip don't wise up and actually sign a letter of intent to the clones. He could spend a whole lot of time as Arnaud's backup. I love Iowa State but the kid would actually be better served to sign with a K-State or the Lincoln Community College. ISU will always be the loveable losers, as much as my Ames lovin *** would love to believe

Ha ha ha! You actually have the word 'bright' in your user name! Way to go. Does daddy know you're using his computer to access the Internet?

ok so hold on... you are saying that you love ISU but you would rather see a 3 star athlete sign with Kansas State when he was already verbally committed to ISU. There are many other positions that an athelete like Philip can play. How do we know that Arnaud is going to pan out, you don't just not recruit someone just because you think that a freshman is going to be a heisman trophy winner.

For one thing there is no Licoln Communuity College, so he must have meant Southwest Community College. And he must not know about Ron Prince. Mr. Ron is starting Josh freeman this week is the good rumor. Bates would have to put up with 4 years of Josh. HMMMMMMMMMM. Check are gone bright's age.

Saw Bates play last Friday against Millard West and he looked very impressive. In fact if I were betting I would on Bates over Anraud in 2008. He has more speed and a great arm. He threw it off balance for 60 yards in that game. Trust me ISU will have a competition on there hands in a couple years.

P.S. Beanshucker fans were even drooling over him.

Lincoln Community College=U. of Nebraska. Sorry my jokes suck. I want Bates, don't get me wrong. I just don't think a kid with that much talent is going to want to switch positions. I know Flynn did it without any problems. There is nothing worse for a program than a QB controversy.

I can think of a lot of worse things. Not a decent quarterback to put on the field. Lousy running backs, worthless defenses, incompetant coaches, huge NCAA sanctions, A tornado hitting the athletic building, fans that won't support their team, loosing your stadium to a baseball team. I could go on with some more things that are bad for a program, but I think you get the point. Competition never hurts a program.

If Bates pans out like we all hope, then yay us. I'd rather have Bates and Arnaud push each other for the starting position than be stuck with only one highly thought of QB with lacking back ups. We all say we want to be contenders, well contenders have 3 and 4 star back ups. I do not want to go back to the days of Bob Utter with nothing desirable in our QB two deeps. Competion breeds winning (or whatever that saying is) so I can't wait until we have Bates fighting Arnaud for the starting position. Go Clones!

I can't wait either. I remember a certain stud QB coming out of St. Louis going to the U. of Illinois and he switched to CB and he's now in the NFL (Christian Morton). Get the talent then figure out where to play them.
