Obviously Realmuto had no intent as it would have required him to not only have eyes in the back of his head, but for those eyes to also be capable of seeing through his helmet.

It's a BS ejection, but I will say it was clear Kimbrel was trying to mess with him continuing to request new baseballs. I can maybe see where the ump thought Realmuto was also messing with him, but it's of course nonsense because Realmuto couldn't have known the exact moment he was going to drop the ball.

In any event, more reason for robot umps.

Probably the weakest ejection in the history of baseball. This ump should be suspended for a while. He needs to know the fans come to see the players, not the umps.

This is what passes for excitement in MLB.

The best thing about baseball was 20,000 kids pounding their new bats on the metal bleachers at Met Stadium circa 1970. The adults could not stop us. Still have mine.
