As someone who spent a lot of time listening to both, Walters is right there. Heft being there for all of it is truly remarkable. When he hangs it up, it's going to be a tough day.pete is the GOAT but JW isn’t to far behind

Seems like we may have gotten 10 televised games a year max (way less in football), so Pete's voice on the radio was the lifeline to guide you through what was happening. It’s just different now that all the games are televised. John does a lot more outside the games where Pete was truly the voice of the cyclones because that’s how you received the games.

Pete shaped my Cyclone fandom. I still tear up thinking about his passing. RIP Legend! All my best Cyclone memories growing up were narrated by Pete.
I’m 61 and Eric and Pete is all I remember!!!It is going to be crazy weird when Eric is finished. I’m 46 and he’s all I remember.
Pete was great. John is equally great.
We are lucky.
You can always hear Eric sigh/breathe heavy when something isn't called right/doesn't go our way. He is one of us.It is going to be crazy weird when Eric is finished. I’m 46 and he’s all I remember.

I was listening to the 2021 Oklahoma State game, and when X’s TD got called back, I thought he was going to stroke out in the booth. I’ve never heard an announcer so furious/in utter disbeliefYou can always hear Eric sigh/breathe heavy when something isn't called right/doesn't go our way. He is one of us.
