They've played at UAB and I believe at Long Beach State in recent years for the same tradition.

Could be wrong about Long Beach, but I'm pretty sure they went to and LOST at UAB last year (or year before, can't remember).

Marcus Paige has now lost to Iowa and Iowa State, and if the rumor he started is true, will be playing in Cedar Falls next season vs. UNI for the chance to go 0-3 against his home state's teams.

Now all we need is Drake to knock off UNC in the NIT

lol maybe if Drake play well enough to make the NIT. Drake fans would be excited to see them make the CIT

Looks up Paige's stats for tonight. 4-16 from the field and 3-12 from 3. That is the exact definition of playing hero ball. Anything BDJ or Georges may have done to warrant that comment pales in comparison to this shine example.

No, junior, and he told the media that UNC is looking to schedule a game @ UNI next year for his senior year. Indicating that he plans to stay next year. I think Roy generally likes to give his 4-year playmakers a game in their home state. I wonder if he even contacted ISU for a potential home-and-home of Ames in 2015 and Chapel Hill in 2016. As an NC resident that would be awesome.

They said last night it would be UNI because they played ISU last year and Iowa this year and Cedar Falls is only about 50-60 minutes from CR. Would be great if he goes 0-3 against the schools he left for greener pastures.

How is that "hero ball"? The best player on a team taking 16 shots and not making a good % is hero ball? What if he was 8 of 16 and 6-12 from deep? Would that still have been hero ball? Dumbest ******* buzzword I've seen on an internet message board in awhile and I get around.

Correct. His teammates certainly weren't doing anything.

I like CFH's point guards that he is brining in next year. The little i have seen Paige play, I have not been that impressed - i don't think he has the body to play in the Big 12 or ACC. Life will go on in Ames, and if next years squad lives up to the hype, Paige will be wishing he stayed home!

The last post on this thread nearly four years ago before it was brought back. Pretty prophetic, at least on the first and las sentence.
